Is he going to earn time over Reynolds and Jameson Williams? Kalif Raymond? Another rental to boot....but it was on the cheap (2025 6th).
Williams has 5 drops on 15 targets, won't take much to move ahead of him. Maybe he and Goff get on the same page someday, but right now Goff is going to look elsewhere.

(cough)Watson(cough)

He tailed off the last 4 weeks in terms of production last season. Watson doesn't look for him apparently?
QB play, sure but DPJ wasn't getting separation and that is opposite of Amari who was getting doubled. It wasn't just a lack of production, it was no production

Either way, it is a good pickup for the Lions and worth a small price

He is not going to put up numbers while here, but after St. Brown, LaPorta, Reynolds, and Gibbs Lions have the king of drops and a gadget player at the moment. I will take some reliability at those spots for a future 6th.

D-line wasn't a problem before this. Bosa, Gregory, Ferrell, Jackson already at DE with Armstead, Hargrave, Kinlaw inside. Would've thought they would invest elsewhere where they needed more help?
Probably a good trade for the niners if they can get that dude to put the work in. There’s talent in there somewhere

I don't want to get too excited, but this is a real person with a real feed, reporting on actual transactions today.

It was a major problem actually if you followed the team

It seems nobody besides Bosa has been getting any pressure. If teams double him and chip and can get the ball out quick, they can pick the secondary apart a bit and get ahead which slows down that pass rush even more. Without it, the Niners D isn't nearly as stout. We'll have to see if the change of scenery gets the best out of Young and helps with that.

You should be thrilled by the last 3 weeks then lol

The problem is probably the 3rd DC in 3 years, hard to hit on 3 great ones in a row. His schemes aren't as good and he flat out lost them the Minnesota game calling an all out blitz at the end of the first half.

Would be a hell of a move. Lessen the loss of Sutton for sure.

Even Bosa hasn't been the same yet, he blames not having training camp (his own fault of course)

If only the Rams could capitalize, alas.......

I know all about the coordinator merry-go-round, Rams seem to lose their OC every year. I keep waiting for them to lose their DC, but he keeps surviving...dammit. I hate his big cushions at the LOS by the CBs, giving up the short passing game to the opponent by design. Doesn't allow Donald to do the damage he could with some actual tight coverage.

There are conflicting ones now too that he's not going to get traded anywhere.

I thought they looked better before the last couple weeks, I guess they are still not very good.

Seattle is loving it though

Washington traded him away cheaply.

LOL.
He has 14 sacks total in 4 seasons. He has been kind of a bust so a 3rd is probably about right.
