anyone picking hooker in round one should be fired immediately

  • Commanders HC Ron Rivera said the team feels "very comfortable" with their current quarterback situation.

Sam Howell has been touted by Rivera all offseason as the QB1, with Jacoby Brissett, expected to serve as the backup. However, that hasn't stopped the team from speaking with Tennessee quarterback Hendon Hooker, who has received a first-round grade from some scouts and analysts. Given Rivera's offseason comments about Howell, it'd be surprising to see the team pursue a quarterback early in the draft, but in what's expected to be a prove-it year for the veteran coach, anything remains possible.

Scouts have a first-round grade on him. i wouldn't pick him if he is there I would try to trade down.

im just saying some teams have a 1st round grade on him. I don't think he gets out of the 2nd round.

This Hendon Hooker to Washington is so stupid and won't happen. It's as if those people are unaware that Ron and staff have exactly one season to save their jobs, they aren't spending their first round pick on a project who won't see the field for at least a year.

I follow Tennessee, he has great tools but is also a product of the system, His backup came in and played just as well.

cooley falls into the trap of thinking you need to address those needs a year early , you do not . williams toohill and obada are easy resigns , sweat and clowney will need more work

now this isn’t the end all be all but when you look at a qb overall processing what you see is key and this is why I keep picking Haener late . He is good in most areas but no elite trait save this one, the important one .

i have to say he stepped up vs top prospects in this draft . 16 is too high for me but in a trade back scenario i think he offers good value
