i took a page out of @UK Cowboy s gamescript to make my jetsian pick.

From what I understand Forbes is the second most athletic CB in this class. He will find it nice to play opposite from sauce.

I think that's a good pick and it's how you have a good draft. You have to pick for your specific team, not worry about whether the player is slotted properly by "experts"

Has there ever been a pick that was bounced around so many teams before the draft even started as pick #29?

Sorry, folks. Tuesdays and Thursdays are the worst for me for availability, plus it's the first week of a new sprint. This couldn't have fired up at a worse time, really. Anyway...

Steelers are willing to listen to offers for the 32nd pick. I won't go past, like, 6AM PST 4/4 before I just make a pick, but wanted to at least throw it out there.

Must really be a bad time, since 6AM 4/4 was many hours ago lol...

so.. I am looking at all the mock and player ranking sites... seems more than ever, that the rankings and picks are all over the place...

is this class really just a top 9 and then anyone can go pick 10 to 120 or so??

If you guys miss out on the OTC pick, Arizona will listen to offers for #34 overall. PM me with an offer.

Decided to just draft Simpson.

The Steelers have been fruitlessly searching for that "movable chess piece" they've been missing on D since Ryan Shazier's injury, and Simpson's about as Shazier-y as anyone from the last few drafts. Too good for me to pass up here.

If a team were to draft/deploy him as merely an "ILB", then they're doing it wrong (sez me, at least). Guy is electric, playing downhill or in space. His passing down value is nutty, since he can blitz AND cover. He won't be a fit for all teams, I suppose, but Pittsburgh has had success developing elite playmakers who may not be prototypical for "position X." (e.g. the aformentioned Shazier, Polomalu, etc.) He may not be what I think he can become in year one....but it probably won't be too long after.

Definitely seems an x-factor type. Can rush the passer, plug holes in the run game, play the slot, or even play deep safety.

Decided to go with many a less of a need (but a need nonetheless) but the value on Torrence was crazy there. Couldn't pass it up. The other guy;'s value is probably a little higher then the draft slot of my OTC pick but I had to take BPA there.

I've got a similar problem looming with the Rams; four guys I want at three different positions, all positions of need (and could stretch that to another player/position).

I can mention it now because both guys are off the board. I think Hooker will be a better QB than Levis. It wouldn't surprise me if he is better than any of the QBs that went in round 1

Honestly, of all of the prospects expected to go top 50, Hooker is the one I expect to bust the most. But Im also man enough to know Im completely biased when it comes to SEC QBs and hitting on a QB in rd2 would pretty much be hitting the jackpot.

The surprise of the draft to me is the Seahawks trading up 3 spots to get Hendon Hooker.

Why?
