Dhaliwal just said the Kings are calling Vancouver about Garland.
Hagel’s signed for two more seasons at jack shit. This is TB’s Blake Coleman 2.0. Worked out pretty well the first time.^
Update:
Hagel is a good player, but I think the Hawks did great here.

Usually that's the kind of thing they give away.Oh yeah, he's a great pickup, I'm just saying that getting two 1st round picks plus two roster players is a pretty nice haul for Chicago.
It is, but assuming TB keeps contending those firsts are basically seconds and assuming Chicago keeps sucking those fourths are basically thirds. Modern draft wisdom leaves the gap between those picks more narrow than it first appears.Oh yeah, he's a great pickup, I'm just saying that getting two 1st round picks plus two roster players is a pretty nice haul for Chicago.
Not that I wish any wellness toward that organization but holy shit if they had just nuked the roster last summer instead of doubling down…Usually that's the kind of thing they give away.

The Hawks got 4 assets, and not bad ones at that, but why is a rebuilding team trading a 23 year old who has scored 37 points in 55 games this year?
Like, aren't you going to need players like that?
The rebuild is over.
What is funny they still have a legit chance of winning the cup while mortgaging the future. The Knights on the other hand, not so much chance of winning.I understand Tampa's motivation as well, they're trying to make history by winning three Cups in a row in the salary hard cap era which would be history making. They'll worry about the future later lol.
I don’t think there’s any chance of this happening in season but…
That contract they gave him hasn't even kicked in yet, and he has a ten team no trade right. You also gotta ask if there are still people insane enough to trade for Seth Jones. Not like the Hawks were the only ones who were willing to go nuts for him last year.
I betcha Boston would do it.

He is going to retire a Hawk. Whether they like it or not.
