Honestly, while I like having Lebron on the team, it wouldn't bother me all that much if he did leave. The cap space created by him and Westbrook leaving could put a really nice, young roster around AD.

Anyone thinking about anything past next year with Lebron is ignoring Father Time.

Yes and no. Obviously, with Lebron on the team, they're going to be ''title or bust'', but if they can get younger high level players, they can still be ''championship or bust'' while preparing for the future.

Of the 3 players discussed in the 2 most persistent rumors, Kyrie is the oldest and he's only 30. So they'd be looking at getting at least one and maybe 2 players with 3 or more good years left in them.

But yeah, end of the day, you do what you have to do to win right now.

Windhorst brought up a great point.....it's easy to do these fantasy trades but in the reality of the NBA it's hard for a team to give up 36 million without hurting their roster.

From what I saw of him in OKC he’s not as tough as Claxton but he can make a free throw.

I wonder if part of it is the Lakers trying to loop in a 3rd team?

A Turner/Hield package (or even trading them separately) has got to interest teams a lot more than Kyrie. Especially since the Lakers are currently the only market for Kyrie. Unless they're including Lebron or AD, I can't think of a package the Lakers could put together that couldn't be easily beat by someone else.

I also wonder if some of the internal push for Hield/Turner is coming from Jeanie? She pretty much sticks to the business side, but she also doesn't seem to have the tolerance for crazy that her Dad did.

I think it's smart that the Lakers are looking st other options.

But, time is not on their side if Indy is ready to make a offer on Ayton.

If its a sign and trade, you know Phoenix will want Turner.

All of the other teams on his list could beat the Lakers shit offer.

But, they chose not to blowup their roster for a malcontent.

If they were, that is where he would say he wants to go.

Lakers aren't his choice, they are his only option.

GS thinking about trading for KD is just plain silly. They just won the title and have it pretty good right now. You really want to trade a young core that can set you up for the future and have no depth? Or risk bringing him in and rocking the locker room and causing a divide and wanting another trade in a few seasons?
