I know I've been the draft one until you find one guy, but if this class is really as mediocre as it seems, I'd rather them punt to 23 than make themselves like one.

Ridder and Strong as well as Zappe later. You will know what you have in TC with them and if they are found wanting you go to the next draft

Mac Jones is already a poor man's Jimmy G in that system.

The best comparison to Pickett is a 24 year old version of 2019, 2020 Cam Newton. I understand why Rivera would be intrigued with him but given his obvious limitations...WHY???

If Corral doesn't measure up then he is essentially a more polished version of Heinicke. If true then Washington's selection is easy If they still have the 11th pick... Malik Willis.

Well welcome to the club!!
I have been really clear for well over a year about how this crop of QB's grades out. I believe that some of these experts are being generous in rating one perhaps two in the top half of the draft. Especially considering which teams will want to draft them.

Pickett is the most starter ready and I see him as a pick 16 to 32 graded player, likely going to a team like Pittsburgh where he likely won't start.

The better upside QB's are Corral and Willis both late first early second round graded. The problem as you've correctly identified is desperation which will lead to two or more of these guy being drafted far above my grading of them.
