those 8 point games man... those define the seasonWow, two games on May 10th and 11th. Thats a huge 4 games.
Yep. Rough. You could start the night in the playoffs by 2 points and end the night out of the playoffs by 8 points

Since this post the Habs are 3-3 and are losing 3-0 to the Jets right now. Not sure the Canucks or Flames are exactly out of the playoff race right now (Canucks will be 7 pts behind them with a game in hand after tonight).Depends how the Habs play all these make up games but given how condensed their schedule will be combined with the fact they weren’t playing particularly well before they got Covided (lost 5 of 8 before they stopped including two to Vancouver and won 1 against them in a shootout) it wouldn’t surprise me if one of the other two got it together long enough to keep them out.
Really interested to see how they use Staal and if they can get something out of him but also curious how they can get Danault going with him in the lineup as well.

Victory in the Bank to displace the Habs should definitely save Benning's job.Sounds like they'll need just one big win then
I think teams should have one Victory In The Bank block they can use. I think that would be more in the spirit of the game the NHL's founders envisioned.Victory in the Bank to displace the Habs should definitely save Benning's job.
I, too, am an originalist when it comes to the laws that govern and strongly believe in teams' rights to bear Victories in the Bank.I think teams should have one Victory In The Bank block they can use. I think that would be more in the spirit of the game the NHL's founders envisioned.

19 games in 32 days for Canucks now.
which scarily enough, is an improvement.
back-to-backs reduced from 6 to 4
At this point I'm guessing every scenario has been brought up but there's clearly forces pushing for them to play - either ownership/the league, the union, some but not all players, some combo of the above, or Rogers.I was talking with my brother Tuesday...
Why not give 1-0 Forfeits in all the games the Canucks play in and call it a season?
Think of it this way. 19 games.
We have 3 in hand from Montreal and we are 10 points from 4th.
Realistically. We are a Longshot for the playoffs so why cause harm?
Why not wait until next season?

Well, yeah. That is tradition, after all.Which I think is complete and utter Money Grabbing Bullshit
