He'll get more chances whenever his contract is done. May not be a top player as he is now but the chances will be there if he wants a title

That's what I mean. Besides, obviously him, who cares if he gets a ring coming off someone's bench? This is likely his last chance to have a truly significant role in winning one.

I mean...depends what you consider substantial. By that measure neither has Beverly really then. He's barely been an above VORP guy his entire career and it's basically entirely on his defense. Rondo hadn't been Rondo for about seven years. Bledsoe is a better player now than both...easily.

At what usage level though? Rondo's value is in running the offense, not stats at this point. I've always hated Bev, but he seemed a key part of their locker room? Maybe he overstayed his welcome I guess...

As far as Bledsoe? Clips traded him before for Redick. Suns eventually moved him to the Bucks for Monroe and picks. Bucks moved him to the Pels as part of the Jrue trade. Pels dumped him to the Grizz with Adams and picks for Valanciunas and lesser picks (and cap space). He's always been the guy that eventually gets moved for an upgrade (until these latest salary dumps).
