They might.

The Schroder situation is pretty interesting. It's like the market just completely dried up on him.

There may still be an S&T possibility for him because, unless someone decides to give him a 1 year "make good" deal, that may be the only way he can get a deal anywhere close to what he wants
At this point I think both parties are done with each other.

Doesn't seem anyone wants Schroder for 20 plus a year when a team will end up getting him for half that or even less.

Yeah, I don't think an S&T is likely, by any stretch as I agree, I'm not sure either side is even in contact anymore. But, if he's going to get anywhere in the ballpark of what he wants, that may be the only way. I think the Lakers would work with him if they thought they could get something out of it.

They'd have to find a team that wants him, but can't sign him outright. Not sure such a team exists right now.

Cavs have a lot of young talent, but they aren't going to keep them all long term. It just won't work financially. Is Sexton going to get his extension? Lots of decisions to make in those 2 years. Will be interesting to watch.
This is true, but his comment was about year 5 and all the young guys could still be around for that season (which will be the 2022-23 season) and obviously wont be as young.

That is your opinion, which has nothing to do with you guaranteeing that the Cavs would be better 5 years post LeBron then the Heat were. Cavs, as usual, wont have sniffed the playoffs.
Tad premature, especially if Mobley lives up to expectations. If he does my guess is at worst they fight for a play-in spot. Never mind year 5 would be the following season.

Interesting, I guess, but other than being taller not sure what he could do that's better than Sexton. He's also the same size as Okoro.

Depending what they gave up, though, sure...wouldn't hate it at all.

its only 3 years. 5 years is in 2 years. Lowry will be 37 30 million a year- a 6 foot guard. Butler will be going into his age in his age 35 season making 48M a year- with a ton of miles on his odometer.

by that point the Cavs young guys will be further on in their development and itll be VERY interesting.

And there are no PG's on the market, someone could give in

And have Bam and Duncan in their primes plus whatever FA's go there.

The last team this old (Lakers) to win it all? The 2012-13 Miami Heat.

The same team James played on.
