Solak is more consistent than Odor with less upside offensively and definitely defensively a downgrade. We will have others. We need more out of him hitting wise but hey let’s see how he pans out this season. Hope he surprises me. He can get it out of the park the other way which encourages. Practice is needed for all

Odor will have to shave off his beard. That will be different.

Stowers was the Yankees 29th best prospect and Cabello somewhere below 30.

The Rangers posted a social media post thanking Rougie. Got no issue with that, but JFC at the ever-salty Blue Jays fans who somehow think winning the 2015 ALDS is a greater accomplishment than winning back-to-back World Series.

Just made it back from Opening Day. Here's my review of the new stadium:

Good:

-Concourses are more wide open
-Some really good nods to Rangers history (example: 20+ feet tall photos throughout)
-At least 5x as many restrooms as the old Ballpark
-Stadium seating arrangement is fantastic (not sure why, but it felt better than the old Ballpark)
-Texas Live is a great scene
-Had the easiest time parking I've ever had and was closer to the stadium than I've ever been (general admission, probably just got lucky)

Not so good:

-Concourses are very angular rather that full on straight shots
-There is a lot of wasted square footage throughout (hallways/areas that serve no function and are just "there")
-An embarrassing lack of monitors to watch the game while you're waiting in a line
-Staff was a little too enthusiastic about helping (one demanded to see our tickets and gave step by step instructions on how to reach our seats, and another kicked us out of a suite level despite there being no indication it was a private area)
-Seats were a little smaller than before
-Lots of exposed mechanical elements that seemed unfinished or out of place

All in all it's a good stadium. There are things that are better than before and things that I think could improve it. I'm definitely going to check out a summer game and see what it's like with the roof closed.
One thing really stood out to me in your 'Not so good' portion of observations, and that is, the lack of monitors!........I went to the new Atlanta stadium in 2019, and was amazed/disappointed in how few monitors they had. Plus, I was telling the Brave fans how even in the restrooms the radio broadcast was on, so no matter where you were, one could keep up with the game. They were surprised, and thought both more monitors & radio in the toilets was a great idea.......Wonder if the same design group built both stadiums?

More prospects the better. We certainly do not look like we are where we need to be at this time. At some point pitching has to become a top priority. Thus far not many have been very impressive although it is way early.

Guzman starting at 1B today.
Good! We really need to know what we have in him. We know he can hit long home runs but his avg and obp need to improve drastically. This is a great time to see if he can get it together.

Dunning pitches today and some regard him as our top pitching prospect, so maybe he will impress.
