The Giants have signed their 1st 14 picks and 17 of 20. They used $8,438,200 out of their total bonus pool of $8,070,600. Apparently, any pick below the 10th round is capped at $125,000 but the team can sign them for a higher amount. However, anything over that amount is counted toward the cap. Since the 11th round pick cost more than double that, there is some of his money counted against the cap. Since the Giants went over the cap by $367,600 (just under 5%), they have to pay a penalty tax of $275,700 (75% of the overage).
