Noteworthy to mention - Philly's loss last night, moved them up 3 spots in the draft... Hmmm... Peterson had already been told that he would be the HC going into next season before the game... Did he tank on purpose to move up 3 more spots?

Picking 3 spots earlier doesn't help your draft as much as knowing how to draft does...
Agreed...but if they might want a QB they did move ahead of 2 teams who might also take a QB early.

I'd agree to a point... But when you're drafting in the top 6, every bit counts imo... But yes, you need to draft the right player for sure... There are quite a few busts in the first 6 picks...

Tua looks, Throws,

Finds Chase.

Touchdown
With the way things are now I don't think you take a WR in the top 10 these days.

It's become a position where the late 1st through the 3rd is where you take one with the 2nd being the sweet spot.

For me I just wouldn't go offense that high unless you need a QB or there is a great LT prospect. I'd focus on defense especially pass rushers when you're drafting in the top 10.

With the caveat being if you have a once in a blue moon kind of prospect you take them regardless of position with kickers being the exception.

this is the mistake fearful GMs make.
They want to take the safe pick. One that will do well. (so they dont get fired)
Thing is. if you follow your draft board. (not the social media's)
You might end up with the Eric Dickerson, Randy Moss, type players vs. yeah the guy wasn't a disappointment.

I would like a smart GM with Balls vs. a Smart GMplaying it safe.

again Smart GM with Balls.
not non smart GMs
I mentioned players like Dickerson & Moss.(& yes the cowboys in top ten skipped Moss for a safe pick) According to your nowadays dont take WR or RB in top ten. #Runningbacksdontmatter
your 1st player is a reach of Ruggs? This theory skips Zeke & Chubb
BTW that was a pick in love with speed. Not a smart pick of top WR in draft. So.... again a smart GM.

Whats next?
Reagor is better than Jefferson?

bottom line is. If you have a WR or RB as your next highest rated player (right or wrong) follow your draft board unless you are so deep in the position

Trevor Lawrence, Penei Sewell, Zach Wilson, and Rashawn Slater are probably locked into the top 4 just based on positional value. Maybe Justin Fields, too, for the same reason.

Zach Wilson has value as a guy that can come in and play right away at QB. There are enough teams that are in the mix for a QB that he seems locked into the top 3 imo. Trey Lance will probably have to sit a year.

Relatively strong looking draft at first glance. Good draft for a rebuild if your team needs it. Maybe only weak at dline spots.

I wouldn't be shocked if these teams who are shaky at QB go oline instead of QB, though. Except for Lawrence.

Is Harris projected higher than Ettienne?

I like both those guys

Think Fields to the Jets can be completely locked up by a non embarrassing performance vs Alabama

I agree Wilson will manage to get in the Top 4, even through trade

Lawrence 1 and the Bengals taking an Olineman are the only 2 sure fire locks as we sit here today

one of the most interesting drafts in years

I think the top 3 could all end up being QBs maybe with a trade or two in the mix. Sam Darnold needs to be replaced. I think he does have trade value because of his age so get your 3rd or 4th rounder and move on if you're the Jets. Jets should almost certainly draft Fields or Wilson. Wilson has better film (from what I hear) but Fields has that Deshaun Watson type of upside that would be hard to pass on.

You see teams like the Falcons an Lions, though, and I could see them reluctant to move on at QB if they have a Pro Bowl level OT prospect sitting there. Certainly the Bengals would consider that, too.

I don't know if the draft itself will be super interesting but its going to bring a lot of change into the NFL. So thats interesting.
