Can you trade future assets ie 23 draft cap in 21 draft? Isn't there a rule or limit to do so?

I'm all over this IF we had the assets and draft Cap to do it but, Miami and Jets have more ammo to throw. Can we really afford to deplete our roster more to get him.

I really like Watson the player, but the cost of draft capital, and the position it puts us in with the reduced salary cap, I am out. His cap number is not horrible next year but jumps to $40 million in 2022. Probably not able to to keep Sutton, and Chubb might leave as well. The cost is too great.

I don't think we can trade cap space, but we can trade picks from 23. They are not worth near as much right now, though.

My guess is he will not be in Denver for the 2021 season.

Watson asked for a trade today.

I still like the option of going with Lock. If it goes badly we will be in position to draft a QB next year. If he works out then all the better.
