We don't know if Handy can be better.

But, we know Vogel's words hold no weight.

No coach’s word holds any weight when you empower the players like this

I’d rather we just get rid of coaching staffs at this point

Let eveyone see what a fraud Lebron is as a coach

They aren't. Vogel had to get the okay when he did bench Westbrook for a game. He has also held himout late in a coupleofgames when he was playing like hammered shit.
He said it himself.

According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, there is an "increasing push" from the Lakers' higher-ups to demote Westbrook from the starting lineup, "but so far coach Frank Vogel has resisted" making that move. Westbrook started Saturday night vs. the Warriors and finished with 20 points on 9-of-17 shooting.

Frank Vogel said yesterday he’s had this conversation within this staff, within the organization, about bringing Westbrook off the bench." He’s not there yet.”

“Honestly, I’m not really gonna get into that,” Vogel said. “We’ve had discussions, just like the front office has thousands of trade discussions every trade deadline, most of them don’t come to fruition and that’s where we’re at with Russ. Having said if that’s the path that’s a better option, we have talked about that, we’ve talked about everything we can do with our team, OK. We’re not there, so I have nothing to add to that.”

Dude, even Jordan listened to Jackson, at least on occasion.

LeBron is just a entirely different entity.

More Overpowered, not empowered.

I too got MJ as the goat but Kareem is in that conversation too for me. He was just so unique and he had it all.
I had it as follows:

1. Jordan

2. KAJ

3. LeBron

4. Magic

5. Larry Legend

Sorry.

No Russell or Wilt for me.

Call it recency bias and the inability to properly judge talent from different eras.

I've been ride or die but the Lakers should have been better than what they have been this season. Even with the injuries they have sustained. Probably still a play-in team but they have quit way too much this season.

And I think James and RW have tuned out Vogel.

I'm saying fire him because the team has quit on him.

Fire him because his words clearly hold no weight with anyone on the team.

See I don't think they have quit on Vogel, I think they have quit on the season itself. They're playing out the string.

These aren't a bunch of young guys that you can rally with "let's play to build momentum for next year". The few young guys they have, actually are trying hard. This is a veteran team, many of whom won't be back next year, just slogging through a lost season. I can't put that anywhere but on the players.

Fire him to see if a new, more respected voice, can provide a spark.

There isn't one. The only one they had that I could maybe see Lebron listening to is coaching the Mavs this year.

In fairness, has Westbrook actually ever listened to his coach?

We know he doesn't listen to his teammates.

But, I have to believe at least 1 coach has told him...

" Say, you arent actually Kobe Bryant, Brodie. Pass the ball and stop the wild ass Westbrick show".

Probably not Scott Brooks.

But, damn.....SOMEBODY?!?!

Derozan.
Think he was a pipe dream, he endedsup signing for a lot more with the Bulls, we were never going to be able to pay him that much.....and even if he signed with us, it's not like he shoots many 3's. The need was for a sharpshooter from downtown.

I honestly don't know much about Handy.

So, I defer.

I know he's been with the Franchise over a decade and he had a bit of a squabble with LeBron a few months back.

That's about it.

Sign and trade.

Would have hard capped you.

But, any deal that would have squashed the Westbrook trade is a win.

Probably even overpaying Shroeder.

Well....at least Westbrook is only on the books 1 more year.

Nah.

Still rather have the Gremlin.

I think they've quit on him the same way the Clippers quit on Doc.

The bubble year team had way more talent than last hears Clippers team.

Yet, they collapsed like a domino trick because Doc lost control of the locker room.

Last years WCF run and this complete Season with TY in charge, the Clippers have done way more, with way less.

Why?

Because they play for each other and their Coach is a leader.

You can say it's LeBron and Klutch and I agree that's some of it.

The fact that your two best players run roughshod over his ass with zero accountability has something to do with it as well.

They are done with each other.

But, they are done with Vogel too.
