I havebeen saying for months now Toronto is better

Cavs and Raptors play 1 more game- Cleveland holds the tie breaker as they are 3-0 against Toronto. With Cleveland's injuries and Toronto at full strength its going to be hard to hold them off.

Van Fleet has prob outplayed Garland this year. Siakam is great and in his prime. Barnes and Mobley are relatively even. Toronto is better right now with Van Fleet, Siakam in their primes.

If Garland and Mobley were closers totheir primes it wouldnt even be a contest vs. those 2 though

Cavs are going to take their lumps- the LeVert deal has done nothing for them since hes been hurt. Sexton of course out all year practically. Allen out the rest of the year probably. Thats a lot of talent not to have against a team that is ready to win and at full strength.

Markkanen did a good job gutting out some really important minutes- he has been beat up. Rondo of course hurt but its not like he is a key player- but without SExton he of course is more important then he should be since their only other PG right now is a street free agent that - I do have to say- in Goodwin- has outplayed expectations.

If Toronto beats Cleveand in the upcoming game- they will prob. pass them. If the Cavs win, go 4-0 against them and hold the tie breaker- the Cavs might be able to hold them off.

I think the Cavs can hopefully manage about .500 - go 7-7 in their last 14. That would get them to 46 wins which would usually be plenty good for a 6 seed in the East.

Cavs just cant fuck up games they should win- they have fucked up vs. Detroit already a couple times.

They have to win practically every game vs. the teams they should beat---- Detroit, Orlando, New York, Orlando, LAL--need to go 4-1 in those games- if not 5-0......if they take 2 or 3 games out of games against Toronto, Atlanta, Dallas, Philly, Denver, Chicago, Philly, Brooklyn, Milwaukee- that gets them to 46-47 wins.

Because they have quit on him.

They have quit on each other.

You can't do anything about the roster.

It's the only card you have left to play.

No draft pick.

No cap space.

Vogel will not be the coach next year.

See what you have with Handy or one of the other assistants before you clean house in the off season.

Still accomplishes nothing and still isn't Vogel's fault. When given a healthy AD and Lebron, he won a title.

You're not wrong but what else can they do?

Nothing. There is nothing to be done but punt the season. They fucked up the roster construction, they had 2 trades they could have made and picked the wrong one. None of that is on Vogel.

Imo, you don't fire the coach because ''what else can they do?''. You don't fix a problem by getting rid of what isn't the problem. If your car has a dead battery, changing the oil isn't going to fix it.

So you honestly think they should bring back Vogel next season or are you just talking about rest of this season?

They need to get through the season and then sit down and assess everything. Just like they supposedly do after every season. If during that time, they decide Vogel needs to go...fine. But I think if they do an honest assessment, they'll find that they gave Lebron and Klutch too much say and that is what they need to fix.

He's a dead man walking.

Doesn't matter whose fault it is at this point.

I'm sure he is. But that doesn't mean it's smart or that it's going to fix anything.

I think it's telling that the best reason anyone can come up with to fire him is ''because they need a scapegoat/what else can they do''.

So, just keep getting blown out?

This is not Stephen Silas coaching the Dogshit Rockets.

You have LeBron James and you can't beat the Clippers...

You can't beat the Rockets...

You cant beat the Pelicans....

You can't beat anyone unless LeBron goes thermonuclear.

AD being out is like Chris Paul being out...

It's a every season event.

Every single team in the NBA has had guys out.

They don't quit in the first quarter at home like the Lakers.

He doesn't deserve it.

He didn't put this shit roster together.

But, it's kinda obvious that he has lost the lockerroom.

Doesn't matter if it's no fault of his own.

Once that happens, it's a rap.

That's why you make the move now.

He's not coming back. So, see what you have in Handy.

See if anyone else can create a spark.

Right now, he's like Doc with the Clippers or Blatt with the Cavs.

They don't respect him or they dislike each other so much that they are mailing it in.

Either way, that's a problem.

Changing coaches fixes exactly none of that.

Yeah they should not even consider vogel for next season. Whenever their season end (assuming it happens in play in or round 1) then he should be gone the following day.

I get he is not to blame for the roster but as a coach you must be able to get the most out of your roster and he has not done that.

He was never a good coach to me. Middle of the road at best. Can't lose in round 1 b2b years with bron and expect to keep your job
I remember thinking Monty Williams was Cray-cray picking the Suns over the Lakers.

Yes, the Lakers did win a chip and the Suns lost in the finals.

But, the Suns present, and future, are leaps and bounds better.

Vogel has a nice gold star on his resume.

Should help get his next job as some teams defensive guru, assistant coach.
