Terrible execution on offense leading to contested shots.
Terrible execution on defense leading to the Nets getting open shots.

Listen, I wasn’t coming to bat for Doc. I hate this team defensively and most of that is him and the fact that it takes time to build a scheme on a fly (if you’re a top 15 coach all time, you should be able to do that though).

My push back is on bringing Dantoni in as his replacement. Last night’s outcome doesn’t bother/scare me. But if Dantoni gets hired to be the head coach of the Sixers, Embiid is demanding a trade within 18 months of Dantoni getting hired. He has no idea WTF to do with a player like Embiid with that skill set.

There is no way to spin what happened last night as a positive in any way for Philly. I will be curious to see how they respond but they got punched in the mouth.

I didn't see the game live because I had to attend a work dinner with my boss, but I don't think I ever will watch it. Based on the highlights it looks painful and embarrassing.

How they came up so small in such a big game is a real head scratcher.

For me, it was the 13 steals and 15 blocks against the Sixers.
Which means poor decision making.
Which means players trying to do too much and not working within the flow of the game.

I've said before that my worst fear with this team is the coach.

People acting like it was a playotf game for the Nets, they will make the playoffs - that is a given. The fact is both teams were hyped and ready to go for this one and it was a playoff atmosphere in Philly. I get it, it’s a regular season but more importantly they just gave KD and Kyrie a tad more confidence. Nobody showed up for Philly, that hasn’t happened since Harden got to Philly. Gotta give credit to BKN they dominated them.
