The NFL does it.

Yeah. And they do it because they want fans to remember that regular season games matter.

Watching a broken Warriors team, right now, versus a largely toothless Lakers team is not interesting to anyone but the die hard fans.

The Sixers-Heat game is a big time game, although it sounds like Harden is resting tonight.

What a damn good season so far for the Cavs. They've surpassed everyone's expectations. And one thing I've been wondering lately is what would they have looked like this season with a healthy Sexton.

Like I mentioned before this is the first time I've had NBA league pass, liking it a lot. So I'm unfamiliar with Sexton's game. And Mobley. I was impressed with him last season. Even went outta my way to watch USC games. I think the sky's the limit for him. Very talented.

No reason your Cavs aren't a fixture in the playoffs for years to come. Bickerstaff's a damn good coach. And K. Love seems to be really enjoying this season. He always has a smile on his face.
Cannot say he's the best fit but this team could really use Sexton as what they seem to lack most is someone who can score and help out Garland. Maybe that can be Levert if he can heal and stay healthy.

even without harden, Sixers with Embiid and Maxey still really good. Better game on paper than that crap they will be showing

Well it's a battle for the Eastern 1 seed which should be important. The Lakers battling for which play in seed they will get is not exactly must see TV.

I think that is much less important for ROY
Not when the stats are similar or even better.

With a limited slate left, the Rookie of the Year race is continuing to narrow.

A highly lauded class coming into the year, the NBA’s newest crop has lived up to the hype and then some. Several players have been genuine contributors to successful teams, with others posting as meaningful of stats as they can near the bottom of the leaderboard.

The NBA's rookie ladder has tracked the class all season long. And with the end of the season nearing, a few are starting to pull far away in the race for the ROY award.

There’s a case to be made the race is over, with Cleveland’s Evan Mobley covering both areas.

Mobley has now held the No. 1 spot on the ladder for several weeks, posting 13.7 points, 9.7 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game since the previous.

The closest to Mobley’s orbit is Scottie Barnes, who has been a major factor for the Toronto Raptors this season.

Heating up at the right time, Barnes is averaging 20.7 points, 8.3 rebounds and 1.7 assists since his last ladder ranking of No. 2. The Raptors are now just two games back from the Cavaliers in the standings, and the ROY race could very well hinge on that with the two statistically very close.

Yep. It's a requirement for MVP but not ROY.
Yeah, if the guy was averaging an Absurd stat line.

The guys on winning teams are comparable in pts as the guys on ass rosters and blow them away in boards and defense.

So, I'm pretty sure winning will be a contributing factor between who gets it between Mobley and Barnes.

Got some damn good rookies this year. It won't be of great importance. But I think team record could factor in.
It will because it's essentially a 2 guy race and both their teams are in playoff contention.

I have Giddey 3rd.

Care might be 4th because Duarte has also missed time.

Speak for yourself.

I happen to enjoy watching the Lakers get their doors blown off in primetime.

If the stats are close, I agree. It is like a tie breaker of sorts.

But with MVP it is more of a prerequisite.

Yeah Giddey was coming until he got hurt. Averaged like 17, 8, and 7 last month.

Absolutely.

Which is what I said in my original post to Wamu.

Which is what @Wamu said in his reply that you quoted saying winning doesn't matter.

Mobley, Barnes and Giddey have separation from the pack.

I'm going Mobley and Barnes because their teams are winning.

Just got home from La Parrilla....had the CA burrito.

Steak, cheese, rice, beans and guac. Plus rice and beans. The wife and I split a pitcher of margs.
