I assume you all saw the story about Russ having mutual interest in being elsewhere next Season?

Enough to turn down his player option?

He'd be insane.

Do the Lakers want him gone enough to stretch him?

They are paying the last year of Deng. So, I don't see it.

Trade with picks?

Who has 45 mil in capspace to take him?

I think the Lakers would have to eat long-term money, bad contracts.

I would just keep him or waive him and eat the one year.

Your books will be clean soon.
How hot can the oven get for a player to turn down $40+M? LOL It could be scorching and that won't happen.

Have you seen some of the talking heads calling Melo washed?

Da fuq?

He is giving you good production at the vet minimum.

Outside Lebron....

Melo,Monk and Reeves have been the brightest parts of your Season.

Agree. I haven't seen the folks trying to say he's washed. I don't see how anyone can complain about what Melo has provided this year.

Both are injury prone bigs. One gets questioned all of the time, the other doesn't. It was a legit comparison and a legit question.

What DJ posted had a helluva lot more to do with the convo than what you said when comparing their resume's.

AD's in his 10th year. A comparison of the two through the same number of seasons.

Total games played: KD- 703 / AD- 601

Number of seasons playing at least 75 games. Went with that # because that's the most amount of games played in a season by AD

KD- 6x (also had seasons of 74 & 72 games played) / AD- 2x

Number of times playing at least 80.

KD- 4x / AD- none

Most games played in a season.

KD- 82 once (and at least 80 4x) / AD- 75 twice

Like I said I don't think it's a good comparison. And keep in mind that there's no current NBAers I dislike more right now than KD & Kyrie. So I don't want you think I'm somehow making this a Lakers things.

Going to see The Batman @4.....IMAX
I don't have high expectations. I don't think Pattison will be comparable to Bale but will still watch it for sure.

Still want to see the new Spiderman and Uncharted.

The new Scream was actually pretty good, last movie I saw in theaters.

Plus a new Liam Neeson movie out, always exciting lol

Liked scream alot.

Loved Spiderman, uninterested in Uncharted.

You are setting yourself up for disappointment if you try to compare anyone to Bale.

I didn't think anyone would be able to touch Jack as the Joker.

Ledger changed all that.

Didn't think I'd enjoy anyone else after Heath, Joaquin Phoenix was very different.

Yet, phenomenal.

Hated the casting of the Kid from Twilight.

But, I hated the casting of Ann Hathaway as cat woman, Halle Berry in John Wick.

They both killed it.

So, I'm gonna have a open mind.

I'm trying to remember what show it was on yesterday.

But, it was similar to what was discussed on this podcast in January.

Ben Maller: “Someone in Los Angeles is about to be the FALL guy. You gotta have a scapegoat and Frank Vogel checks all the boxes. Vogel is the perfect person to throw under the bus. He’s a rather generic coach who has bounced around -- that’s the kind of guy who is expendable. With Frank Vogel I imagine the trope from an old classic Hollywood movie, where Frank Vogel is holding on to the end of this frazzled rope by his fingers and it’s a literal cliffhanger. One by one each finger is losing its grip because LeBron James is peeling away finger after finger with an evil laugh. This has all the makings of a King James screenplay. They sold their soul for LeBron and when you do business with LeBron it’s LeBron’s way or the highway and that's what we’re seeing here as a direct result. LeBron has built and finagled this roster, and it’s like making soup out of sewer water – no matter how much garlic, pepper, and spice you put in the stew, if you’re starting with sewer water it ain’t going to be that good. This concoction was signed by LeBron. No one wants to admit that they’re wrong, but there’s overwhelming empirical data that shows that the Lakers roster is fubar. Whether LeBron wants to admit it or not, the Russell Westbrook trade was a debacle. Carmelo Anthony made a few three-point shots; he’s a one-trick pony and he’s washed up. The parts don’t fit together in the puzzle. LeBron cannot admit that the sky is blue and water is wet. LeBron is soon going to hit the defense mechanism and blame Frank Vogel. ‘IT CAN’T BE MY FAULT, I BUILT THE ROSTER, AND I’M EFFIN’ BRILLIANT!’"

The Joker was a masterpiece

Seems worth checking out when it gets to on demand.

Haven't gone to the movie theater in years and don't really keep up with what's current. Last recent one I watched was No Time to Die.

But right on about Jack playing the best Joker. There wasn't a better actor for that role.

Well apparently a pretty good team ( not named the Dubs...lol/smh ) understands the value of adding front court depth, especially this time of year as teams are jockeying for post season positions and seedings.

Not saying he'll be a huge difference maker for Philly, but I'm sure Doc will see to it that he contributes in certain spots/game situations when needed. Also gives them the luxury of resting Embiid & Drummond for longer stretches in key games.

He won’t be.

But also, it is a lot easier to plug a big and slow center into the 6er schemes that are centered around a true center than it is for GS.

GS schemes require bigs who can move and defend the perimeter.

DJ would literally make GS worse because he can’t come close to doing that.

And Kerr isn’t one to adapt his scheme to fit personnel deficiencies.

It's all speculation. I'm just saying they could've gone the 10 day route with him or even Cousins, then go from there.
But we'll never know now.

Anyhow, I hope I'm wrong about the dubs sliding down to the 4 seed..but even if they do it wouldn't be the worse thing.
Everyone will really have their work cut out now if they intend on keeping that 2 seed, with the Grizz & Jazz hot on their trail.
