That's what I was saying yesterday. There are essentrially 3 options.

1.) He can turn down his option and sign with whomever he wants. But I can't see anyone giving him anywhere close to that $47 million.
2.) Turn down the option and work with the Lakers on finding a sign and trade deal with a team that may be looking to tank. He still isn't getting $47 million, but maybe he can get a little closer if salaries have to match.
3.) Opt in and then he and the Lakers try to find someone who will take him as an expiring contract.

My guess is, he's opting in, no one is going to want him and he and the rest of the team will have to try to figure out a way to make it work for 1 season. Maybe they can move him close to the deadline next season?
Bring him off the bench with the 2nd unit and limit his mpg with AD and James too maybe if we keep him?

I was pointing out a bone bruise almost cause Covington to retire.....they can be more serious than just thinking, "Oh, it's just a bone bruise."

And brought up KD because he gets a pass on his injuries while AD is criticized all the time about it.
No, I get it.

But, you do understand that the vitriol is more about you and your fanbase?

It's what folks do to Cavs fans as well.

If we had any full-time Nets fans on here and they were acting flagrant, people would be at their throats too.

Not all Lakers fans are trolls.

But, success breeds contempt, especially when you are obnoxious.

If we keep him.....that's our best option IMO.

If he doesn't like it.....we can send him home.....doesn't make him look good for his next team.
True.

But, Wall would play ball and go with the flow.

Don't both contracts expire after next season?

I would much rather have 1 year of Wall over gimp Kemba and 3 years of Fournier at 18 mil each.

Are the Rockets interested in trading Wood? Or is this all speculation?
They were listening.

As it turns out, fans are going to be a lot more disappointed given the recent report that the Lakers were working on a monster deal that would have sent Russell Westbrook, Talen Horton-Tucker and a future first-round pick to the Houston Rockets for John Wall and Christian Wood.

He would lose his shit...lol

Depends. Right now, I can see him losing his shit. But, maybe if he has an off-season where he gets some "real talk", he can be convinced to take an approach closer to what Melo has taken. He's gotten himself something of a 2nd career by accepting a role coming off the bench.

Interesting, Pelinka must have balked at sending them the 1st rounder.

Have you seen some of the talking heads calling Melo washed?

Da fuq?

He is giving you good production at the vet minimum.

Outside Lebron....

Melo,Monk and Reeves have been the brightest parts of your Season.
