Avoiding major injury is always a good thing. But all I'm saying is he's injury prone. Go ahead and disagree if you'd like. Already got one Lakers fan in this thread that has an issue with what I've said about him.

It's not like I'm talking shit about him or anything. If I was then by all means blast me for it. But mentioning nagging injuries have been a part of his career isn't taking a shot at him.

I'm not disagreeing with you. He always has something dinged, even when he's playing it seems.

Never said he wasn't injury prone, said KD is also. Which people hardly ever talk about.

Then you want to say who is better. Odd, LOL.

Good for you Miami taking out the nets last night and takin the glory out of KD return..

Nets are the Lakers of last year…

Star players keep milkin the system by takin way too much time off, thinking they can return and all will be well .

Miami , take the east you deserve it .

That's not the case with the Nets whatsoever. They may have been a bit careful with KD, but Kyrie is out due to his vaccination stand, Harden forced his way off the team, and Simmons just got there after being inactive all season.

I think the Sixers are going to give the Heat a run for that #1 seed in the East. The Heat need to get back to as close to 100% as they can; no Butler, Lowry, or Tucker last night. Goes to show how far the Nets still need to go to get truly competitive.

Embiid is my favorite as well right now, just thinking out loud about Harden's potential impact on how voters could view the situation.

There's always that potential Embiid injury lurking, but so far so good this season.

Obviously an injury would change things and that could definitely happen.

I just don't see how Harden's arrival could have much of an impact. No matter how things go, it would be pretty easy put it on Harden. Sixers become the best team in basketball? Harden elevated an already good team. Sixers struggle and limp in? Harden messed up the chemistry.

The only real way I see Embiid not winning is if he A) gets hurt or B) really tails off statistically. Hard to imagine B happening though. Harden and Embiid are a matchup nightmare. While 3 games, with 2 of them against the lowly Knicks, are a very small sample size what seems clear is that Harden used the lob pass a lot in the pass because his bigs really couldn't do anything else.

Lol, replace a head case, harden with a head case Simmons… kind of a wash ain’t it?

You basically made my point with another head case in keyrie , putting himself before the team .

Been my argument all along bout how this game is being ruined by the players callin the shots , and teams that were not expected to win it all, win it all.

As far as Philly goes, hope embiidd doesn’t pull that injury load mgmt kerapp anytime soon.

:laugh3:

Hey man just keep your Lakers homer helmet tightly fastened to your head. You brought KD up in the first place while talking about AD. Had you not brought KD up I wouldn't have mentioned him.

I didn't say they don't have issues, but they aren't all out milking injuries as you stated.

Yes, they are, meaning ‘star’ players. They are all doing it cause they think they will be well rested for Post season play . It’s indisputable.

Problem is they are not able to get back into game shape quick enough. Case and point the 2021 lakers…

The Celtics sign Nick Stauskas to a 1 year deal.

Finally the missing piece the Celtics need to hang banner # 18 in the rafters. Wait a minute, who the hell is Nick Stauskas?

KD returned and the Nets still lost to an undermanned Heat team.

The Nets are in trouble too.
Yeah are in great shape compared to the Lakers, they just need to get everyone healthy and playing together. Kyrie didn't play, Harris still out. A long way to go for the Nets but when it happens, they will be in a good place

Simmons isn't milking anything, he's just not in game shape from holding out. Kyrie isn't playing home games by NYC regulations, not injured.

Toronto used load management extensively with Kawhi and it didn’t get in the way of them winning a championship.

Ya sure? Simmons time table is convenient for him avoiding the March 10th game in Philly.

Clips in 6 with george and powell unless it is the suns
Yeah they would give the W's all they could handle. I still have the Suns as the team to beat in the WC but the Grizz at #2

Clips have a ton of depth, but who loses minutes when those two return to big minutes? You're adding a margin of improvement of those two over guys that already playing pretty well, that depth is masking their absence to a degree.

Didn't he already say he refuses to play in Philly when the 76ers & Nets play on 3/10?

@fightinfunbags

Do I got that right? If he went outta his way to say he refuses to play in Philly that has nothing to do with him being in game shape.

They can still use that depth but then you add a guy that can play at an extremely high level. Sometimes the team doesn't play the same, only time will tell
