Not the same at all. Simmons refused to play for the 76ers.

With the Nuggets their 2nd best player J. Murray is still injured & their 3rd best player MPJ only played about 10 games due to more back problems.

I'm speaking to end results, not the reasoning behind them. At least Philly was able to move the malcontent for a replacement star player. Nuggs are still dealing with those injuries. Plus, I am definitely undervaluing Harris. Bad take overall, lol.

Hopefully this is something that can be addressed in the off season. He's way too young to be deal with back issues.
The thing is there are no updates on what the issue is with his back. Could be just a pulled muscle that never seems to heal or a more serious issue. Hope it isn’t but who really knows

For a 3rd season in a row I can't watch Nuggets games. Their owner, Stan Kroenke, is a typical greedy billionaire. What a schmuck!

All you can do is hope it's something minor. But it was nice to see the Cavs got two AS's since the game was in their backyard.

Yeah, that schmuck with the Super Bowl trophy.....

Do you even know the details of what I'm talking about? Of course you don't. It has nothing to do with him owning the Rams.

Plaschke is nothing but hot takes and get off my lawn these days. Lebron isn't going anywhere unless he forces such a move.

Yeah, Plaschke has become kind of an idiot and is more into clickbait than realopinions these days.

But I will say, he's not entirely wrong.

The Lakers don't HAVE to trade Lebron and I'd even say that, it may not necessarily be the best/fastest way to rebuild.

For starters...who are they going to trade him to?

A team that feels they could get to the finals with him, is likely going to have to give up a good chunk of what makes them a good team and while Lebron is still great, he can't carry the load he used to.

Is a young, up and coming team going to give up key players for a couple of years of Lebron?

Imo, unless the situation reaches a point in the off-season where it becomes untenable...I think the Lakers best bet is to see if they can unload Westbrook in the off-season. If they can, maybe they can get something good for him. If not, then they bite the bullet on 2023-24, hope for the best for that season and then look to rebuild for 2024-25 when they will have in the neighborhood of $100 million coming off the books.

I feel sorry for Westbrook.

He loved and admired Kobe.

Dude is like the butt of all jokes right now.

But, that shit was.fumny.

Kobe was always doing shit like that.

Reggie Miller tells a great story about a move that he had. Kobe comes up to him (I think in the summer when they were playing pickup at the UCLA Men's gym) and asks Reggie to teach him the move..

Reggie obliges. The next time they play each other, Kobe proceeds to use Reggie's move against him and does it better.

Meanwhile, Kobe had a move that Reggie wanted Kobe to teach him...Kobe never did. lol

Yeah, the comments from Lebron about playing with Bronny and the door not being closed on a Cleveland return got people's knickers in a twist. I wouldn't worry about either. There isn't anyone they can reasonably get in return for Lebron that will help them win more, and the teams he would go to aren't going to have a stash of young players and picks to make sense to rebuild in LA. Moving Westbrook is the hopeful move, and maybe even moving AD could come into play (but he's not helping his trade stock either).

Curious as to where Zion would force his way to if that comes to pass. I wouldn't expect the Lakers, lol.

I didn't say it did. Kroenke has his fingers in many pies, many leagues/sports. For my purposes, I have no issues with Stan, especially this month lol.

James Wiseman is finally doing full scrimmages with full contact. Still no exact time table for return, but it's a positive sign for him and the Warriors. I don't expect him to come out of the gates swinging like Klay did, but he will have roles to play in series against legit big men. Also just having him as a lob threat on offense is going to open things up. We will need to see what he does though on defense and the boards to see how much court time he gets this year.

Agree. Just doesn't seem like trading Lebron would make a lot of sense. Unless there is some scenario that hasn't been thought of yet, either the Lakers or the team they are trading with likely gets screwed in a Lebron trade.

Just throwing Cleveland out there since folks keep talking about them...despite his age, Lebron still plays at an MVP level, are the Cavs going to give up as much of their young core as an MVP caliber player demands? Especially since that player is closer to 40 than 30?

Unless either the Knicks or Kings ownership recently bought them and it hasn't been announced yet...I'm gonna guess the answer would be Hell No.

As for trading AD. That's a tough one. On the one hand, as I believe I posted yesterday, his injuries haven't been what you'd call "bad injuries" (it's mainly sprains and strains) they seem to happen every year and cause him to miss significant time every year. So for the Lakers to get close to fair value based on his talent, the other team would have to be convinced they can keep him healthy or weather him being out. Not sure that team exists. Especially given what they would have to give up for him.

No thanks on Zion. The Lakers don't need to trade an injury prone big for a fat, injury prone big.

Yet you without a doubt had an issue when I mentioned him. Instead of thinking it was kinda shot at your Rams next time figure out what I really meant. I bet you have no idea why I mentioned him do you?

Wiseman sucks! He has no business in the NBA. And Steph's the most overrated league MVP of all time. Did I do that right?
