What do you consider a dynasty? Prime James, Wade, and Bosh should’ve at least won four titles.
That was a small dynasty and the most it will ever be imo. No team is ever going to dominate like the Spurs, Lakers and The
That’s the Lakers MO since Kobe left.

Say they trade Davis for a plethora of picks. They’ll end up trading them for the next star who wants out (Trae or Doncic)

The Lakers are not a “rebuild” type of franchise.
I think there is a good chance that the Lakers can build around Davis if they get the right players that will do there share. The one year rentals is a mentality that has to change first though

Thinking this might be what Griff meant when he said many don't want to play with Lebron (or be GM of a team he's on)?
......and why Kyrie...

Kawhi, George, Butler and the list of Free Agents that didn't glance the Lakers way after he became a Laker didn't want to sign up to carry his luggage. As soon as shit starts getting hard, he will have you traded.

Well, I am not sure why the Lakers were not willing to give up an unknown draft pick in 2027 - but somewhere, the Lakers have got to quit mortgaging the future for a one year deal and at the best, Lebron is good for one more year

You answered your own question. Lebron has 1 year left and I'm not sure the Lakers have a desire to re-sign and I doubt it woud be for more than 1 year at a time if they did. By 2027, the Lakers may be in a rebuild and need that 1st round pick, or it may be a valuable piece in a trade then, or before 2027.

Interesting take by Cowherd on the Lebron/Lakers issue. Basically, he says that Lebron isn't dealing from the position of strength that he's used to and that the Lakers not ceding to his demands is a sign of that. Basically, he said that Lebron needs LA more than LA needs Lebron. He pointed out that Lebron's net worth has more than doubled since he came to LA.

He also pointed out that Lebron on your team is also no longer the guaranteed trip to the finals that it was even 5 years ago. He said that 5 years ago, no team would dream of trading Lebron, but now...he thinks the Lakers should (and just might) if Lebron keeps to his current narrative.

Says that obviously, they would prefer to keep him and should basically trade or not re-sign everyone except Lebron, AD, Malik Monk and Austin Reaves. But they shouldn't be afraid to trade him they feel that's best.

And lol @Lebron and Klutch saying they didn't push for the Wall trade after Lebron said over All Star weekend that he wanted Westbrook traded. Can't have it both ways...idiots.
Do you believe this to be true? If it is.......

Kobe Bryant didn't have as much power with Lakers as LeBron James does now

But for as important as Bryant was to the Lakers, sources inside the organization have long said that not even the legendary Black Mamba wielded as much power within the organization as James now has..

Interestingly, Cowherd said this morning that the "we're not mortgaging any more of our future" decree has come from Jeanie. If so, that's a Dr. Buss move right there.

I wouldn’t build around him for obvious reasons.

If they trade Davis, what’s his open market value?

Right now, very little in my opinion because he has had a horrible year, and a large contract.

Lebron did not carry as much gold as he pretended to be carrying - I remember he guaranteed Miami seven championships title. I knew people that believed it and asked me why I didn't - My answer was : Common sense and logic

You got it all wrong. When LeBron said not five, not six, not seven what he really meant was the number of years he'd play in Miami.

It's been fascinating watching the divide between the Bronsexuals and the actual Lakers fans.
