Even the refs are on the Celtics side tonight. That was a blatant charge on Brown that they called a block by Thybulle.

Good challenge by Doc. But the refs will probably not over turn because that's how the night is going.

Make or miss league
But credit to the Celtics. They came ready to play and with a snarl and if you don’t have that you don’t get the benefit of a good shooting night.

Marcus Smart hurt. Looks like a pretty unfortunate ankle injury. Could overshadow a good Celtics performance tonight.

Are there examples of players who didn’t improve?

Of course.

Shaq wasn’t exactly known for his work ethic. So terrible example.
Lol. Wow …

First off you posted ‘any player can improve his shot , then you post ‘there are examples of players who can’t , then you say ‘ they don’t improve cause of work ethics???

You work for CNN?

An offensive player should never get a rebound right under the board . F N NEVER!

Also, while he never really became even a decent free throw shooter, he did manage to become better at hitting them, as he says, ''when they mattered'' and teams also learned not to use the Hack A Shaq too much because he would get into a rhythm and start hitting them.

There are also far more examples of players who got better in the NBA than those who didn't. Karl Malone and Tim Duncan were terrible free throw shooters when they first entered the league. Magic and Lebron couldn't shoot past about 12 feet early in their careers.

Serious question...who turns on the computer and types this stupidity for you? There's no way you manage that all by yourself. Not without hurting yourself anyway.

That's a pretty skewed take to be honest. The lottery is full of players every year who have intriguing tools but aren't great shooters. Most of those guys never grow as hoped, and fail.

Ben Simmons is more talented than most players of course, and can really do a lot of things extremely well on the court. So he has survived and become a star despite his complete inability to improve offensively from his rookie season.

Take a hand ball and shoot at a toddlers b ball net and see how well you can hit a free throw from a reasonable distance. That’s what it was like for shaq. He could have practiced till the cows came home . He wasn’t improvin.

Did I say they can’t?

Just because a player didn’t improve, doesn’t mean they couldn’t improve.

And if you take a guy with no shot, like Andre Drummond. He was working on his 3 point shot a few years ago.

Just because he didn’t improve enough to take them in games doesn’t mean he didn’t get better. He just sucks a little bit less.

The refs just let Trae flop around all night. Great player but he has more FT’s than the Cavs team bc he falls down if a pinky touches him. He’s so soft

Yep I hate watching him play. I may hate watching him more than Harden at this point
