I think the issue there is that Lillard likes being in Portland

I think he would accept and thrive in LA---- but what about Davis? I dont think he would be happy in Portland and we already saw he is willing to sit out games if he is not happy with his situation.
Lebron recruited AD, I highly doubt AD will be traded. He is in there for the long haul. Westbrook will be traded, it's really the only move they can make but it will be for scraps if traded

If the Sixers get one ship out of Harden it will be well worth it but man, this guy is a joke
He is but it benefitted me and my team him forcing his way out like this. Sports Karma. Simmons blew us up so it’s just fair the Sixers would benefit from somebody else’s shenanigans

totally agree

I cant see them moving AD until LeBron either leaves or retires.

unless they got an offer they couldnt refuse--- which I just dont see. Even trading AD for Lillard- even if AD wouldnt pout- does Lillard and LeBron - with RW and the rest get you to a competitive position in the West? I dont know- but prob. not.

Lakers really boxed themselves in with the RW deal.
Reality is that the Lakers got one championship on the LeBron move and that will be it. The Russ move shut the door on them getting it together again before LeBron’s time is over.

I mean- I think you have to run it back with LeBron one more year

what are you going to trade AD for that will give LeBron a chance to compete? I dont think you can trade him for another star and get back equal value can you?

I think your options are---- run it back one more year---- or trade Bron and AD--- but you just cant do that.

if you trade AD it has to be for something that gives LeBron a chance--- do you think that deal is out there? I dont.

Bradley Beal?

Then they could try to flip RW for role players that fit around Beal and LBJ. Not a terrible plan but I don't think they will trade AD

Who are the realistic teams that could trade for RW in the offseason? I think OKC would be one, expiring deal and they could get a 1st out of him.

Knicks, Thunder are the only teams that come to mind

Hmm interesting. I think if Beal forced his way out LA could get Beal + more from WAS imo. AD even right now is better than Beal and AD is only 28
It Beal is forcing his way out and he wants LA the Lakers won’t even need to give up AD.

There’s no shortage of dumb among NBA front offices. But that’s not a great plan…hoping for someone to be really fucking dumb. Call the Kings.

I don't think they trade AD either, although I do think it will be discussed. If Pelinka is the grinder Kobe said he is, then he will explore any and all options. I think that, assuming they don't get their shit together and make a deep run in the playoffs...their priority will be to move Westbrook.

If they are unable to move Westbrook, then I think they will concentrate on putting whatever decent, low cost role players they can around Lebron, AD and RW, then just ride with them through next season and concentrate on preparing for 2023 when they will have lots of cap space to use on FA's.

So the Sixers are +2.5 at home tonight. I feel like I'm missing something.

Is the addition of Daniel Thies supposed to signify the Celtics are ready to shut down Embiid?
