I think there's a better chance of him refusing to play for the Nets because someone hurt his fragile feeling than him finding his jump shot.

But he's only 24. If he puts in the right time he should be able to improve it. Look at Lonzo Ball. When he got the league his jump shot was shitty. Looking at his stats he's improved his shooting % just about each year of his career. .360, ,406, .403, .414, .423. And his 3 point % has gotten better each year.

But I don't like how BS signed a contract then refused to play for the 76ers. So I hope his shot stays broken. Or at the very least fails him down the stretch of an important game.

No one is gonna stop Embiid...

... that said, the Celtics are one of the better teams in terms of being equipped to try to slow down Embiid as much as possible.

And it has nothing to do with Theis.

All that being said... the line is because the 76ers are short-handed and Boston is not, as @fightinfunbags said.

It's also worth mentioning that Philly is only 1.5 games ahead of Boston in the standings.

Al Horford is generally washed IMO, but he does a very good job of defending Embiid most of the time. He seems to be one of the few people who really has Embiid's number.

Wood would be a decent pick up. But I think that they are starting to see this more and more as a lost season and are trying to preserve some kind of flexibility for next year. Plus, it would create some pretty steep salary tax on a season where they don't appear likely to be winning a title.

It looks like nothing that made a lot of sense was available, so they have moved on to the buyout market.
