I am very good at my job too, but I make mistakes every day.

Maybe once a month.....and not crazy mistakes. Last night fall under crazy mistake that shouldn't happen. There are 3 refs on the court. Can't sit here and tell me all of them didn't realize the whistle was blown seconds before

It was a terrible call.

My guess is that they thought the contact occurred before the whistle.

It clearly didn’t, but it is the only explanation for the call.

It is like you guys never watch basketball at other levels.

Officiating basketball is impossibly hard. They make mistakes and miss calls all the time.

Unless you want games to take 4 hours and go camera review on every call, there is no solution to this.

So just accept that bad calls happen.

Not all jobs are equal. Some are easier than others to get it right.

You see something unexpected happen, then sometimes the mind plays tricks when you play it back and try to recall it.

It was an awful call.

But why the hell is Ed Davis touching a player on the court to begin with? He needs to stay on the bench and only concern himself with his team.

But if you claim to make 1 mistake a month, you are either being disingenuous or you have have a job that allows you time to go back and review your work.

If you have to make decisions in real time (like I do, and like officials do) you will 100% make mistakes.

I'm rarely Blame the Ref Guy but this one was bizarre. Wasn't just the typical bad call or no call but I've never seen anything like this...ever. How did the ref who blew his whistle calling the play OOB/dead not intervene and make sure this didn't happen (the 3 shots)?

what's next....calling goaltending when the defender swats away these fake shots after the whistle?

2) who are a few young guys to watch develop, not the obvious names?

Luka is generational talent good.

As long as he doesn't show up fat, AGAIN, to start the Season he will be a multiple time MVP.

The crazy thing is they discussed it for a few minutes. You think a crazy decision like that was video worthy. Nope instead they decide to award points for a play that was blown dead. That isn’t a mistake, that’s just being bad at your job. I would like to see a suspension but I doubt it.
