It would be the right move in case he bolts for the summer but they can't give up on the potential of KD-Kyrie-Harden all playing in the playoffs. Even with chemistry issues they still would be devastating

but Russ didn't do him any favors. If you go to double...double. He lazily went for a strip and whiffed.

That's the biggest problem I see with him on defense. He's always trying to "make a play". He doesn't understand that playing good, fundamental defense will provide opportunities to make plays. He doesn't need to force it.

Just shocking he still can't figure out to make the right play on offense and defense being a great player and veteran in this league. Everyone has mess up's but it seems he still hasn't learned.

It just gets worse. Not only are Kyrie and Harden shit ass defenders naturally but they hate playing defense and they can’t commit to playing their part at that end. In hindsight, we’re going to look at that Big 3 as a failure.

Might be better off moving Harden or Kyrie and at this point...Harden is the guy that doesn't stick. I think Kyrie and KD could be great together and if they can get a good package for Harden they will better off to make a championship run....if those two can stay healthy.

He's like a kid with ADHD, he just gets going 100 miles an hour (which is why fans like him), but he can't slow himself down. It's weird, because when he does force himself to slow down a little (usually after someone reminds him), he actually shoots a little better and turns the ball over less.

But then, you don't get the Russ that can damn near win a game by himself when he's rolling.

And I fully agree with @tlance perspective that adding Simmons completes that group and immediately makes them the clear front runner for a title. An elite defender and rebounder and a Big 3 guy who not only doesn’t need shots, he doesn’t want shots.

I don't know that I'd part with Maxey for that move. If they are doing Harden now before the summer, I think that's a position where the Sixers have more negotiating room. They can work a deal at the deadline for room to add Harden through FA the traditional way. Harden is on the back end.

Agreed. No reason to send Maxey with that if the Nets are turning the page on Harden. They won't be able to get better for their squad than Simmons.
