looking at the Lakers box score

its not a huge deal that Bazemore has 7 minutes and Ariza 12 minutes- okay- i know that.

but- your playing fucking 11 guys Vogel. Bazemore is cooked. Ariza is cooked. Try and find a semi-stable rotation instead of just throwing shit against the wall.

If you are going to play young guys like Reeves and THT- then play them! No reason to go 11 deep. Get some consistency. Let guys know what to expect night-in-and-night out.

I loved the thise signings

Baze was good last year and ariza was exactly want they needed

I think Toronto is the 6th best team in the East right now.

Siakam, OG, Barnes, Van Fleet, Trent Jr is a legit starting 5.

Siakam has an All Star case. Van Vleet is a legit all star. OG and Trent can play. Barnes is a spectacular rookie.

Especially with Rubio and Sexton out- and Garland and Markkanen hurting- Raptors are better than the Cavs right now and probably still better even when Markkanen and Garland are back. Charlotte might be too.

Ball, and Bridges are both fringe- All Stars. Hayward is a good player. Rozier is good. Oubre a very solid 6th man. PJ Washington can play a little. They have assets to make a deal with Kai Jones and Bouknight if they want to.

Cavs need to make a deal if they want to make a push this year. Maybe thats not the right move either depending on the cost. I just hope they dont get pressured into a stupid deal and move Okoro or Osman, or trade their first for a marginal player.

lol...i assume you say you love the signings because they were - how shall we say? not good?

Gotta say- as a Cavs fan- any team that signs LeBron I am going to dislike- but I would be lying if I said the Lakers going from the overwhelming preseason favorite to win the West to struggling to get to .500 has not been enjoyable.

I was hate-googling NBA predictions to see that not one person picked Mobley for ROY and not one person picked the Cavs to be even top 10 in the East- and it floored me how at least half of the prognosticators picked the Lakers to win the West. AT LEAST half.

I actually liked them just on pure value at the time (I had ariza worth at least the small mle)

But now I LOVE them lol

And here I am trying to figure out how the Celtics get better and still get out of the tax

Kuminga helped too I guess. Nice win I don't care how bad the opponent...good teams beat bad teams, fun to watch if you're the good team.

Little bit on both, but I'd say more on Russ. Reaves is probably too slow to guard Jackson. But Westbrook fucked up going for the steal instead of a hard double. He gambled (stupidly considering the situation but Russ does that dumb shit ALL THE TIME), missed and Jackson spun. He also left too much space. If he took the proper angle on the double team, it would have pinned Jackson to the baseline with little room for a move like that

Also, while I like the play the Lakers took the lead on, they left too much time on the clock anyway. Good play but in the wrong situation. This team punches themselves in the dick constantly with things that could easily be cleaned up. Two clear examples there at the end of the game

How long is Melo gonna be on the shelf?
Looked like he pulled his hammy just before halftime, went straight to the locker room and didn't return.

The Lakers would get hosed on that deal. Walker has had way too many injuries. Fournier is pedestrian. This trade has the same stench as the Houston Westbrook-Wall swap.

No, it is a lot better.

The players you are returning actually fit on the Laker roster.

Wall is a poor man’s Westbrook.

Unless Portland trade CJ, i think the current standings is how it would look. Order will be different but these are the 20 teams to make the post season
