Agreed. I would add a healthy Heat to that big 2. My Sixers aren’t in that group unless they trade Simmons.

They would instantly jump in the top tier with an impact trade for sure.

On paper Brooklyn would be tough but they just don't seem to gel...or stay healthy for that matter.

Brooklyn injuries and kyrie not getting the vaccine is a bad thing for whoever they face im round 1 if Brooklyn decides to deal with that fine and have him play home games in the playoffs. A Brooklyn/ Milwaukee first round would be great for my Heat

Certainly a possibility.

Also highly possible/likely that 1 of them gets either 2 or 3 and the other is 4 or 5.

That would be rough for whoever lands the 1 seed.

Uncertainty surrounding the rosters/availability for Philly and Brooklyn make this year’s East particular interesting.

I am praying for a Miami/Milwaukee 2nd round actually. Giannis been doing too much talking about the bubble like people forgot the only reason they made it to the finals is because of the injuries the Nets had in that series. That was going to be a quick 5 game series otherwise

If Morey can do any kind of Simmons deal that nets Halliburton and Barnes I’m in. These two guys are on one team, that team is desperate for a change, and those two guys fill major needs the Sixers have right now.
Halliburton - can defend 1-3 at a high level. He is a career 41% 3 point shooter and he’s a solid floor general while the Sixers lack a true PG. This guy immediately makes the 2nd unit better. Maxey can take over the role of running the 2s and he can be himself and grow his game without having to worry about getting Embiid and Harris touches
Barnes - the Sixers really need rebounding. Barnes is a 3 who has a little bit of 4 in him. He is an upgrade for Danny Green and Thybulle. Thybulle’s offense hasn’t grown and neither has his ability to rebound. He’s a situational 18-20 minute guy right now. Barnes is a career 39% 3 pt shooter. Shooting 40% this year and 39 and 38 the two prior years. Harris Curry Barnes around Embiid is a ton of shooting.

Milwaukee is the team I have to think jumps into the top 3.

Nets without KD?

I don’t know. They will make a run when he comes back, but not sure how far they will be able to move up the standing.

We shall see.

I wouldn’t expect CLE to beat MIL in a playoff series but I feel like Miami and Cleveland both match up well against them. The team I don’t want to see is BKN, they have too many great 1-on-1 players, a nightmare

I’m not saying it will happen but the Nets don’t have good depth and if Harden is off and on the court, KD hurt and Kyrie out for home games…it’s a possibility they slide into the play-in. I dont expect it but Charlotte is playing well. Toronto is a dangerous team. BKN could slide to 7

BKN’s upcoming schedule. Not a piece of cake but at least they are road games

I agree they could.

They are in a really bad spot right now.

I would think Cavs matchup against Nets better than most. Mobley is a guy who can at least make KD work for his production. KD has made a living in the playoffs shooting midrange and deep over smaller covers that can’t contest his shot. Mobley is one of the few guys in the league that can have an impact in a series on KD even if it’s being a pest and knocking his production down in 2 of 7 games. And you have Okoro to play Harden or Kyrie. The rest of their core is poor. You can survive one of the three having a night. You just can’t deal with 2 going off and 16-18 from the third guy. And the Nets are trash at the 5 spot so you get Jarrett Allen being an off the ball rim protector on drives not worried about leaving his cover. I think Cavs actually match up with that team better than most.

Yep their schedule isn't friendly at all while KD is out. Only good thing is most are on the road but assuming KD is out the full 6 weeks, here is someof their remaining road game during that stretch:

Phoenix
Utah
Denver
Miami
Milwaukee

Home games against Boston 2x, Sac, and Washington. Beating Boston without Kyrie or KD will be tough.

Nets to me is going to end as a 5 or 6 seed

not sure if its worse than Tlance thinking the same because he coaches children playing basketball.
When have you ever chimed into the bandwagon ? You need to feel relevant like the rest of the clowns?

6 game roadie for Miami.

Hoping for 3-3/4-2.

Should be able to beat New Orleans and San Antonio. Need to split the other 4 vs BOS, TOR, CHA, & WSH

You are so dumb.

Coached high school ball for 15 years. Yes, I have a background in the game of basketball and that is relevant for general basketball knowledge in terms of how the game works.

Never claimed anything more. You bring up my coaching experience way more often than I do because I absolutely own you.

Playing minor league baseball 30+ years ago is relevant to exactly nothing here.
You have never been right in an argument with me, and you never will cause you did not play a sport at a high level it as simple as that.

And reading a book and becoming a textbook coach to children aint relevant to the goings on in the NBA either so…

Also , all I ever related to the game of basketball as far a my baseball career was conditioning, sacrifice, respect, listening to the coach , executing his plan , all to which I admit does not apply to NBA players today who run the show, and will ruin it if the players continue running it cause they dum as nails, but talented as heck.

I have never interrupted any of y’all postings about stats, copy & pastin, yada BS cause I was a a player , and players in my day , stats didn’t mean schit

Hey Swamy, did you factor in injury, load mgmt and what time of the month it is, or if one’s feeling are hurt?

You are hilarious.

I have played more basketball than you, been around basketball more than you and you are wrong about almost everything.
