Hit the phones. They can either use 50% of his salary (DPE) or trade him and get a high priced guy. Schroder is one name that stands out for the DPE salary. Eric Gordon for the full salary
Hope he's had a true mea culpa as Amico has been so critical of Altman and Gilbert.
35 points in first...64 rest of the way. Very impressive. After the first quarter Cavs played so damn good D the rest of the game. Good thing Garland returned to the court after going back to the locker room though. He looked funny landing after the reverse lay up.
Exactly!!......Never understood why it always seems to be the athletes people come after for what they earn (not really saying anyone here was "coming after" them). I mean, Oprah makes quite a bit more than nearly every athlete (if not all). Better chance an athlete could be taught to do what she does than teaching her to be a world class athlete.Communist
Also it's not just the fact that people want to watch sports. It's supply AND demand. There are tens of thousands of people who can teach and put out fires and arrest people. There's only one LeBron or Steph or KD...
For a rental? Nah.Send them Nunn, Bazemore, THT, Ellington not necessarily in that order.
I agree. Vogel's rotations have been terrible. His bad rotation always put us into a hole. Sure Russ hasn't fit in but Vogel hasn't been able to get the most out of this team. He's already better than most of the reserves the Lakers have (not saying much). He's one of the better defensive players we have. But Vogel is a dumbass and keeps trotting out trash line ups. Like tonight, he yet again started Trevor Ariza who yet again got smoked and let Heat build up a lead so LA played from behind the whole game. Johnson, Reaves and Monk need to be a central part of the game plan. It's been this way all season (and since Johnson came on the team) yet there's still no recognition from Vogel that its what's best. The Lakers play their best when at least 2 of those players are on the court next to Lebron, especially Monk. Monk was cooking a few games ago yet Vogel benched him for some dumbass reason and now he's cooled off a bit. Vogel's lineups are absolute trash. Ariza needs to be dusted. Bradley's minutes slashed.
Most star athletes are underpaid?
lol , do you realize how insane a comment that is?
First off they make more in endorsements then salary…
They pay for nothing, I guarantee you have no idea the meal money they get when they are on the road …
Holy Toledo

The roster is a weird makeup, add in the fact they have injuries and virtually no big men...tough task. I'm sure anyone would have trouble with that roster makeuplol
I heard recently that the Lakers have had to use more different starting lineups than any other team in the league and it's not really close. Here are 9 players who were expected to be in the rotation in some capacity prior to the start of the season and the number of games each has missed:
Lebron 10 games
AD 20 games
Westbrook 0 games
Melo 3 games
Monk 5 games
THT 16 games
Bradley 8 games
Ariza 35 games
Nunn 48 games
That is a combined 145 games and we are only 48 games into the season. That's not even counting guys like Dwight, DJ, Bazemore and Ellington who have fallen completely out of any type of rotation because they have mostly sucked out loud. The Lakers went into the season thinking their biggest issue was going to be how they were going to give everyone enough minutes to keep them happy and now they have guys like Austin Reaves and Stanley Johnson playing major minutes and Lebron spending time playing center.
Perhaps you can tell us exactly what rotation you'd like Vogel to settle on.

I mean- a significant part of that is Vogel's own fault.lol

the Lakers center position is less than stable to put it nicely. The roster is a weird makeup, add in the fact they have injuries and virtually no big men...tough task. I'm sure anyone would have trouble with that roster makeup
It's amazing that you no longer really hear anyone stick up for Westbrook. He's had the opportunity for playing with significant talent during his career, without ever winning. Whether it was with KD and Harden, just Harden, and now AD/Lebron (I know AD's been hurt).
With Westbrook, it's hard to win with him as your main guy, and he looks to be at best the third option in LA. Yet, LA's fighting to stay in the playoff race at the moment. I just don't see a team winning anything of significance with Westbrook on their roster, especially if he's eating up a sizeable chunk of the salary cap.
It seems before every post you make, your first thought should be, I never played a sport at a high level , I have had no exposure to what pro athletes truly make, and I should spend more time living a life and less time on this board. It seems like that before every post you make, your first thought is "How can I best show off how limited my knowledge is on this?"
