Saw a short clip on sportscenter a couple of minutes ago about Kyrie. He was asked about his vaccine status. And said he doesn't want to bring science into the topic. He's put himself above the organization and his teammates. Proof he thinks he's more important than anyone else.
His excuses are about as lame and  as his belief of the shape of our planet.

This quote has been suggested as evidence supporting the rumor that LeBron James actively participated in assembling the present Lakers roster and by associated suggests that Pelinka took some of his marching orders from James in getting rid of players like Kuzma, Montrezel, Gasol, and draft capital to obtain Westbrook. Interesting indeed.

"Obviously, we got a gem in Austin [Reaves]. I watched a lot of film on him when we were able to acquire him. I know what type of players I like to play with and I knew right away that he would make an immediate impact on our ball club probably before himself and our coaches and a lot of other teammates."

James has been mute on any suggestions or questions regarding whether he actively chose the roster including the Westbrook trade that everyone now hates. I suppose we may never know the real truth but nearly everyone now knows that this Lakers team is a bona fide shit-show until Vogel played mostly youngsters last evening along with James.

This Wolves team would be so much better if they didn't take 25 3s a half

Or

If they could shoot even remotely worthy of taking 25 3s a half.

Apparently per the Wolves telecast they have scored 100+ in 41 straight road games. Next closest team is at 17???

Barring a god awful second half gonna hit it again tonight with 61 at half.

The Lakers are now in a desperate spiraling circle of decline because their mentality of trading their young assets for presumed better players has them depleted of options, loss of draft capital into the foreseeable future, and a belief that someone better is out there who can change the present mess.

Apparently Pelinka and others in the Lakers braintrust believe they must make a trade before the approaching deadline to so-called "improve" there lot at it presently stands. With these erroneous beliefs, Pelinka and the FO are missing the real solution which would be to go with their present roster of players AND HC, keep their present young core intact, continue to play the season through to develop them further, put-off any further trades unless it involves moving Westbrook, Jordon, Bazemore, and maybe Ellington, and implement a soft rebuilding effort that the young core can facilitate by adding effective pieces later.

They appear desperate because they are fueled by a "win-now" belief and pursuit when this is the elixir that is killing them. One of the things the Icon always did wherever he went to build another championship was to stop this mentality and begin to build by keeping young, talented, defensive-minded players. Right now all the Lakers are doing is sacrificing their assets necessary to build that success in the hopes of adding "win-now" pieces. This is the real problem and this is what is killing them.

This is article is the gist of what is not necessary at this time. If the game against the Jazz proved anything, the better course of action is to keep THT, Monk, and other young, defensive-minded, productive young core players and sacrifice the mentality that we have to win now at all costs!

Reality is he just had covid and he is at less of a risk than most people who attend Nets games in Brooklyn.

Yep.
That's the funny thing.
Scientifically, Kyrie is probably one of the safest people in New York to be around.
But society really needs him to take the injection.
So we can feel safe.
That selfish bastard.

Whether he is right or wrong he has a choice and he is hurting his team. No way around it. Plenty of other players were against it but they decided to do it so they could play the sport they love, their job for their team.

Fuck him. Who gives a shit about him. The less he is in the news the better, he’s looking for the reaction

To be fair to Kyrie, he was chilling enjoying life then the Nets got on their knees and begged him to return. We should be looking at the Nets crazy and not Kyrie. He was totally fine with his decision and willing to sit out the season. Had he begged to return then I would understand your comment. They begged him to return so why I don't get why anyone would think his stance on the vaccine would change.

45 seems "reasonable"? Barring more injuries at this point 45 wins would be a major disappointment. We've won 60% of our games with one of the toughest schedules in the NBA and now it's one of the easiest.

But, sure, if there's a deal that makes us better this year and in the future then make it.
I just think that the Cavs have gotten some wins against good teams without guys. Miami was short handed for both wins. Bucks were missing all 3 guys. Nets mising Durant. Jazz missing Gobert.

Its a credit to the CAvs that despite their injuries they have continued to win and play hard- but I dont think they are as good as their record is.

Young teams just dont win this much. I hope that I am proven wrong- OF COURSE. But we shall see.

Its just hard for me to fathom this team- being predicted for 26 wins, already at 27. We shall see.

Toronto, Charlotte and Boston are right on our heels and all have more vets and healthier rosters and are more "win now" teams.

my expectation right now is a winning season- which would be a monster step- they will almost assuredly have the biggest win jump in the league this year. That is a lot. Asking more right now could be unrealistic.

sure wouldn't mind someone else, but don't forget Okoro still not even 21 (close).
its what im saying

Okoro 20. Garland 21. Allen 23. Mobley 20.

No Rubio and Sexton.

It does not make sense what they are doing right now. Teams this young, with season-ending injuries to 2 very important players- just do not win on this level basically ever.

Garland last 5 games: 5 wins, 21 points, 13 assists, 6 boards. Eastern Conference Player of the Week. Unquestioned leader of the Cavs

talk about an All-Star push.

gotta give it to him

all apologies to LaMelo, Herro, Jaylen Brown --- Garland is playing better.
