I'll say it again. If you are not good at your job then find a different career.

Not that complicated

What was looking like an easy win is now a toss up thanks to that incompetent ref

PJ Tucker is a much better player than I thought he was. I thought was a corner 3 and D type of guy. He has shown the ability to hit a little floater and be a playmaker when needed in Miami. Great signing

NBA refs are back at it. Lowry passed the ball to the ref after a foul on the Heat. The offical is unable to catch the ball and ejects Lowry.

This is the bullshit I'm talking about. Even the Blazers commentators are ripping them.

Embarrassing
Yeah they’re intense. Bullshit!!!!

Man.

Sometimes I really do wish that your job was a public one so that we could ridicule you every time you make a mistake.

It is actually very complicated. Guy makes 1 mistake and you assume he is “bad at his job”.

Guess what? If he actually is bad at it, he won’t be doing it for long. But 1 mistake in a random regular season game does not define someone’s career or their value.

They will.
Hopefully.
And fwiw, I'm not calling for the guys job...only some clarification and the head office's intervention to do the right thing here.
I really don't even know if he's actually a G league official who got called up to the NBA for a short stint as a temporary replacement on an emergency basis due to possible covid/omicron protocols.....or if he is in fact merely just a "rookie" ref.
I think things may have been a bit worse if Miami had ended up losing that game...but they won..so that should lessen the blow somewhat.

That said: I hold the belief that the best refs, officials, judges & umpires in any sport are usually the ones you never hear about, and also the ones who just go about the business of being fair & impartial arbiters of the sport they happen to work in. Not the ones who go out of their way to make a name for themselves via ego, controversy, bias, or confrontation.
