The problem is that Westbrook is virtually untradeable. But I agree, if he can be moved, even for what would technically be a "lesser player" it could still be good for the Lakers and improve the team if that player fits better. I don't know who they can get and it'll likely cost them THT as well.

As I've said though, unless some team wants to blow it up, but still sell tickets, they're likely going to have to see if they can figure it out with Westbrook.
I tend to agree, but how many times has he been untradeable now?

That is true. Had not thought of it that way. I dont remember if he was considered untradeable when OKC traded him, but he was when he was traded to the Wizards and was when he was traded to the Lakers....so who knows lol

My bad. Thought he was signed as a FA. Dammit.

The only reason that I remember is because when the trade veto happened, someone tried to say that it was karma for the Gasol trade being so lopsided...then someone pointed out that Memphis had gotten Marc Gasol and were likely very happy with their return. lol

I don’t care how quickly it happens man.

Just that we all know it WILL happen at some point.

Maybe it takes 5 years, maybe 10, maybe 20.

No such guarantees in those tier 3 markets because there just aren’t as many options to build a contending caliber core.
We've already established for example that Cleveland will never ever ever win another title :D

Yep and if they're vaxxed and asymptomatic, they should be able to play.
Kind of wish they would....but also get it if there was pushback by the players associations about knowingly letting a player with covid on field/court.

Doubt it. Seems most players want to play. Don't think anyone is happy with sitting out nearly two weeks when they feel perfectly fine

My understanding is that the players associations favor that, but I don't know for sure. I was working and listening to a show when I they were talking about it...but I thought that was what I heard.
