took them 7 years just to get back to the playoffs.....and that was WITH lebron. While I can agree with some of what you are saying about the LA fans it's kind of funny you think LA had some magical turnaround but try not to credit the Cavs ever if you can help it.

Lakers got Lebron back but took 7 years to reach playoffs and win title. Cavs got Lebron back, made playoffs in year 5 and won title in year 6. Second time they rebuilt and no Lebron. Are now in year 4 and look like they could make playoffs if relatively healthy.....without Lebron.

could argue Ingram and Ball might have won with Lebron (not sure if they could have kept Randle and gotten Lebron but seems like they could). That said, they did win a title with AD so hard to criticize that.
ehh they won a title in "the Freak Show".

He's said some stupid things during his career. But the haters out there will always have something to complain about with him. And the majority of their issues are usually petty.
No one can criticize him on the court, but he brought the entirety of the rest on himself

i always appreciated his talent- but personally? no. not really. but i would defend him since he was one of us on our team. but- like i said- if you jump off the ship REPEATEDLY- why shouldnt we?

You're on funny fella. You did more than just defend him. You hung on his nuts for his first seven years. Then hated him for four. Then hung on his nuts again. Only to hate him again when he left the Cavs for a second time.

You even foolishly went as far as saying his prime was over the moment he went to the Lakers because of all the NBA miles he has. Then in one of the biggest displays of pure butthurt I've ever seen you said his legacy's ruined because he didn't get an injured Lakers squad to the playoffs his first year in Los Angeles.

Did he make a complete ass outta himself with that stupid televised decision? Of course. But for anyone that wants to only blame him, and not the organization as well, for the Heatles welcome party that's just insanity at it's finest. None of that nonsense would have happened without the approval of the team.

His not 5, not 6, not 7 comment. More stupidity from him. But now I think when he said that he meant the numbers of years he'd play in Miami. :heh:

For me one thing that defines him off the court is his I Promise school. Anyone that has a problem with what he started is really clueless. I know first hand what that school means to lower income families in my hometown.

And don't bother mentioning the trouble the former principal got into. From what I've been told he had nothing to do with that hire. But I can't be 100% sure about that. Just going by what I heard from some people back there.

I'm sure there's a lot of pressure for the games to be played on Xmas day... but the Celtics have so many guys in the CV19 protocols that today's game @ Milwaukee should really be postponed.

Heard Paul Pierce and his famous Finals wheelchair informed the team he's ready to suit back up if they need him today.

I don’t know what part of my post you took as a knock against Cleveland.

But sorry, it is simple fact that it is much easier to rebuild in LA than Cleveland because of free agency.

Bad management can surely screw up in LA and good management can expedite the process in Cleveland.

Just because the last time didn’t go so quickly for LA, there are plenty of other data points where it has gone a lot better.

And I don’t think anyone here would bet on Cleveland to win their next title before LA.

And no, I don’t think the Lakers were winning without the AD trade.
That post was not a knock on the cavs but you go out of your way not to credit them (well, mostly Gilbert/FO)

Would I bet on the cavs to win a title before LA? Probably not. Lebronless for each team? I might. Cavs would have advantage of a long head start...but LA has the FA advantage.

Was unaware they had signed JJ until today.

@Shanemansj13 @dtgold88

If you already heard about this my bad. Cavs have extended Bickerstaff through '27.
Did hear. congrats to him. I guess could say maybe a little premature but sure looks like he's earned it. Forget just what he's done with the tall ball lineup but he's made Love useful again AND looks like Osman has become a player. In addition, Garland and Okoro seemed to keep getting better and Mobley better than most thought as a rookie.

He's done a helluva job with the Cavs. And as of right now I think he's the front runner for COY. Can't think of another HC that's done more with less this season.
Kerr definitely deserves to be in running.

Is it more than some other teams have had out who had to play, like the Cavs at Boston the other day or Bucks against many teams over the past week or so?

How exactly did I go out of my way not to credit them?

I didn’t credit any organization.

Miami and LA obviously have immense built in advantages due to their markets.

And I am going to bet that Laker fans will be grateful for the title he brought them when he leaves instead of being bitter at the state of the roster.

Ingram, Ball, and Randle were never going to win a title for the Lakers.

Once LeBron is gone, they will start over and eventually get back to the top’again.

@dtgold88 claims that “I went out of my way to not credit the Cavs in this post”

Dude, you are bat shit crazy.

This post was about Wiggy and his misplaced hate. Has nothing at all to do with the Cavs organization.

You really don't think you go out of your way to rip the Cavs' FO and Gilbert? I was not speaking of the post to which I replied when I made the comment...just in general.

I have in the past for sure. Not lately.

Only because certain Cav homers were constantly sucking him off.

If not for that, I would never say a word about Gilbert and Cleveland.
