Thank you LeGM for not re-signing Caruso and thank you for not making that trade for DeRozan, we are happy to have them.

Once DeRozan could get full salary elsewhere, he was no longer an option for the Lakers. The Westbrook trade clearly had precedence, and the Kings trade would've been the fall back if not Westbrook.

Not always man.

Some guys have it, some don’t.

Caruso is extremely high on the basketball IQ scale, and THT is pretty damn low.

In my experience, the low basketball IQ players can absolutely be serviceable if used correctly, but low IQ guys really never become high IQ guys at this stage.

At the other end of that discussion is upside, of which THT has much more than Caruso (and I am a big Caruso fan). Caruso was still in college at THT's age, give him a chance to develop.

IMO, the Lakers are being forced to mis-use THT to this point. He should not be playing PG or handling the ball as much as he does. To me, he makes much more sense on the wing, slashing to the basket. With Russ on the court he's redundant offensively.

If the future LeBron trade to Cleveland has any truth to it, the three team trade scenario that Wiggy proposed has some teeth to it. It hink all three teams would be pretty much satisfied.

Another one of the Lakers problems is that they completely suck at the FT line. Before the half last night against the Suns, the Suns were 100% from the FT line while the Lakers hovered around 66%. I have witnessed the Lakers putting up those numbers at the FT line consistently over the first-half of the season. They apparently put much value in making FTs in any given game. Certainly un-Kobe-like.

If the Lakers trade Lebron, they might as well trade AD too (and Westbrook if possible). Time to rebuild.

Moot point, as they only trade Lebron if he forces his way out.

its so sad what has happened to Kyrie. HE is so fucking fun to watch with the ball. Honestly maybe the best handle I have ever seen and his finishing at the rim is just impossible.

He let the voices in his head convince him to get away from Lebron. Those voices have taken over.

Upside rarely materializes in players with low basketball IQs.

And if they are going to choose, (they should have kept both) then the contending team should always pick the established good player over the one with untapped upside.

Because THT’s upside isn’t super high. We aren’t talking about a future franchise player type here.

So good luck with that decision.

I disagree. It would depend on what they got back, imo. They would definitely need a #1 type player because AD is a #2, he's in the discussion as the best #2 in the game, but he's still a #2. The right return could keep them in the hunt.

And that's why we won't find out. lol

The Lakers, like every other team LeBron has been on, have put all their eggs in his basket the last four years. He holds all the cards, and no team is going to give up young assets for a guy closer to 40 than 30 unless they have a malcontent on their roster.

If LeBron wants to leave as a free agent, that is precisely what he’s going to do and there’s nothing anyone else can do to stop it..

Agree. Doesn't matter who it is, you get Lebron on your roster, it's title or bust.

no team is going to give up young assets for a guy closer to 40 than 30 unless they have a malcontent on their roster.

Mostly agree. A team that truly was interested in Lebron, would likely be a playoff team that felt he could put them over the top. The problem is, they would have to give up too much of what made them a playoff team.

For it to even be a possibility, it would likely have to be at least a 3 team trade for the Lakers to get back enough to make the trade worthwhile. The only 2 team trade that I can think of that might work would be if the Nets wanted to pair KD and Lebron and gave up Harden or Kyrie.

Jokic shouldn’t need validation from this clown.

Well Jokic agreed with what Dray said. So you're the clown for saying anything about Dray.

And stop pretending to be a Nuggets fan. You only jumped on their bandwagon 2 or 3 seasons ago.

Why not? A smart player will take any criticism he receives, regardless of who is making it and if he agrees with it, will use it as motivation to improve.

Nothing wrong with Jokic acknowledging that what Dray said helped him and Dray acknowledging that it's obvious that he took him seriously and improved.

Hurricane once again providing his own special brand of dumbfuckery.

And Jokic was wise to listen to what Dray has to say. Sure I've taken my share of shots at him. But he knows the game very well.

Dray saying that about Jokic & the Joker agreeing reminds of Chuck & Shaq calling out Embiid a couple of seasons ago. And just like Jokic Embiid agreed with what they said about him & improved his game.

He's not seeking validation, like you are continuously on here. One of the best defensive players of this generation called him out and said he needed to play better on defense and instead of taking that personally, he worked on it. To which, Draymond acknowledged he saw the massive improvements he made. Only you could take away from this interaction a negative, lol.
