Everyone with any knowledge of the inner workings of the Lakers pretty much have conceded that Pelinka allowed James' consultation of the present Lakers. It makes sense in light of the stories told by the out-going players like Caruso and the incoming ones that were told they would be Lakers like Demar DeRozan and Lonzo Ball. So, if all of this speculation has any truth to it, than James has no foundation to bitch about his teammates not playing well.

To borrow a convo idea from a ref doing a Boston-Lakers game when Kobe was still alive and Kobe was complaining he was getting fouled and the ref was not calling the fouls and he was missing shots. The ref replied: "You're Kobe Bryant, make the shot."

I'd tell James something similar. "What are you complaining about all the losing and lazy play from your teammates." " You chose them in the role of an assistant GM." You're King James, choose winning-minded, younger players who want to play defense and can shoot next time!

Poole becomes the most dangerous sixth man in the league when Klay returns (soon!). It's not just Klay being back, it's moving everyone a notch. Improves the starting lineup AND the bench
