Wait a minute. You say his stats in LA "should be obvious to anyone with eyes". Yet they weren't to you. And where exactly have I changed up what I've been saying, what you accused me of that in comment # 3306? If you can't back you what you've accused my of you're simply a liar.

I haven't made any assumptions. You on the other hand made an incorrect assumption. Something you won't or can't acknowledge.

I am not talking stats man. That is why I clearly said I don’t care about the stats.

The conversation was about what version of LeBron James was the very best version. Not about what year he had the best stats.

You keep bringing it back to that. That isn’t what the conversation was about.

His arguments don't even make any sense

First he argues that Lebrons numbers were up in CLE because he had to do more

Out of the 8 years, 4 on each team there was only 1 year a player led in PER other than Lebron in the playoffs. That was Kyrie

Kyrie Irving averaged more points on a better TS % (22.75 vs 21.95) than Dwade in the comparable 4 year stretches. Also Kyrie has a higher win share/48 for his career vs Wade. Kyrie is much better than he gets credit...All well beating a team that was considerably better than any of the teams MIA faced.

Lebron was about just as good in Miami as in CLE, the real difference really came down to the finals competition. They both made 4 finals with slightly different results, and it all came down to the competition.

My argument makes plenty of sense.

Let’s look at usage rate in the playoffs when he was most engaged.

4 years in Miami:

26.9
33.4
29.2
31.6

4 years in Cleveland part 2:

37.6
30.7
31.6
35.0

I really high year in season 2 with Miami, but clearly he had more usage in Cleveland. Partly because Kyrie and Love missed time, because Kyrie was gone in year 4 too, but his 2 lowest came in Miami and his 2 highest in Cleveland.

So yeah, my point that he was getting older and had to do more offensively in Cleveland not only makes sense, but it is what actually happened. He was a lot less likely to guard the other team’s best in Cleveland like he usually did in Miami.

LeBron was the best player in the league in both places. But if you are asking what was the absolutely peak for LeBron as a complet basketball player, I am taking either 2012 or 2013.

Yea, it's likely splitting hairs. I would say that the fact that he was younger would likely give him the nod, however he was more experienced on how to win when he got back to CLE likely why his numbers were slightly better. The Cavs got shafted on the finals team they had to play each year. Would have loved an easy Dallas or an older Spurs, over the god like GS team lol

Totally agree.

It isn’t an open and shut case by any stretch.

My point to Wamu was that the raw stats don’t tell the story very well. So there isn’t any point in looking at them too closely.

Duncan Robinson is always in foul trouble. Really doesn't make sense

Kind of does though.

Opposing offense always going to go at him.

Also, guys who aren’t very athletic relative to their competition often rely on grabbing and holding and therefor get called for a lot of touchy fouls.

Trust me, I know a lot about that.
