If there is any level of dependency on cooperation I can’t see Russ agreeing to not play basketball and if he does, he’s going to tell the world he’s been wronged and that he’s been told to stay away.

Wall should as well. Casually tanking is one thing it's another to not allow your highest paid employee on the premises while you tank your way to a pick.

That's a road too far.

You may be right about that. The one thing that might get him to agree is that he knows that his contract will be expiring which means there will be a much better chance of the Lakers being able to move him.

And this is why i been going so hard about the lack of national tv games/how espn basically ignored the heat all season. National exposure plays a big factor for certain awards. Bam not going to wow with basic defensive statistics such as blocks per game so it requires actually watching a bunch of games that aren't on national tv which the media guys don't do.

That would be the case if OKC was remotely close to competing. They are clearly still in tank mode and it's to hard to picture Dort still around when they are ready to compete.
Thunder could win 40 next season if they wanted to but that isn’t good enough. All going to come down to how the lottery goes. Thunder are preparing for next summer though, which it just so happens is when a new CBA will go into effect. Presti won’t be rushed.

Yup, he supposedly did a 2 1/2 press conference today and answered all questions. When discussing the back to back to back picks of KD, Westbrook and Harden he described them as a basketball God, a basketball warrior and a basketball genius. I cringed on the last one.

They will be offering him a 2 year $97M extension this summer, so if accepted that FA threat fades.

As far as his interests, he has recently said he Luka and Steph would be great to play with. Of course, that doesn't mean a hell of a lot. The Warriors don't need him and already have huge luxury tax ramifications to extend Poole. The Mavs don't have much around Luka of worth to trade.

Sexton has stated he wants to return to Cleveland, wonder if that's mutual given his likely cap number. Cavs are at the cap already without him, so he's not hurting their chances to add someone else, just pushing them past that luxury tax threshold (along with an anticipated MLE signing).
Cavs have shown they'll pay if need be. I mean, they paid the max to Lebron, Kyrie and Love and still paid a near max to TT as well as $15 mil to JR and $10 mil to Shump.

Guessing we offer Garland a max in the summer. Allen and LM are around $36 mil between them. Okoro still on his rookie deal and a while before Mobley needs to be paid. Guessing sexton gets $20-25 mil. Love deal falls off after next season.

Yep and I believe it already was reported Garland is signing max this long-term. We will wait to see on Sexton. I think they get a good deal on him after the injury but I believe it will be the range you listed. They actually would have 2 max slots available if Sexton does not get max. Mobley, we all think will get one in the future.

Watched parts of it.

He talked about the Clippers pick too and the Clippers roster as a whole.

Bam came in 4th.

But, he's 1st team all defense.

I think it’s up to the lottery Gods at this point. Knowing what I know about Presti I know the plan is for Dort to be a key piece moving forward.

Moving back into the top 7/8 to land two of the core guys in this class is fun.

Murray and griffin or something like that
