That being said: Brooklyn has arguably the best player in basketball, the C's will be down a valuable starter in the 1st round, and the Nets are easily > the Bulls.

The logic of steering towards the easier 1st round match-up is plain to see.

It is almost impossible for Boston to get 3rd. They are either playing Brooklyn (unless Cleveland pulls the upset on Tuesday) or Toronto without probably 2 of their top 5 guys available in 3 of the possible 7 games.

The Celtics playing a bunch of bench-dudes plus Smart and Brown almost beat a full Bucks squad on their home court the other day... that's why today is less than certain.

All it takes for one team to beat any other in the regular season is to get hot from 3.

They are. On top of that, when you stack Sixers strengths and weaknesses up against Raptors strengths and weaknesses it’s a horrible matchup for the Sixers. I think it’s a series that could go either way but gun to my head, I think the Raptors take it down.
