Not just the Heat. Also I wasn't just talking about the winning streak. The Heat been the best team in the east most of the season but ESPN is obsessed with the Lakers, Kncks, and Nets. I can count on one hand the # of times the Heat were discussed on espn. TNT does a little better job of discussing all the teams but they are only on tv 2x a week so the casuals watch espn more because of their daily shows.

The top teams in general(Suns and Memphis) also included. Can even include a team like Toronto....really good team that none of the casuals know about

All the casual fans here about are the Lakers, Knicks, and Nets. They know nothing about the good teams in the league because ESPN & TNT constantly show those teams (espcially the Nets and Knicks)

It just going to be funny in few months when a report come out that tv ratings in the playoffs are down and they are wondering why.

I think you need “name teams” to go and get a great number. The other piece you need is compelling games and series. I have to be honest, in assessing the NBA, the Heat have always been one of those “name teams”. Riley, DWade, LeBron, even Spo is universally known even among casuals.

Since the new year, the Heat played twice on espn and 0 times on TNT....had 3 games removed from the TNT schedule lol

This is the team with the 3rd best record in basketball that if you don't have league pass or live in South Florida, casuals probably some this team play 2-3x at most

Exactly. Its especially true with the Lakers. Add Lebron to the Lakers and like it or not, the Lakers are going to suck all of the oxygen out of any room.

David Stern was only half kidding when he said his ideal finals would be Lakers vs. Lakers.

Believe me, it gets old for Lakers fans too, even when the Lakers are good. Over the years, there have been many times where I have decided to not listen to sports talk shows that I normally listen to because I'm tired of hearing about them. lol

It is what it is. Its all about the mighty dollar. Raptors players and organization have embraced this and use it as fuel .

Yep it is what it is. They just need to stop wondering why ratings are what they are in the playoffs when the 2 or 3 teams they talked about from September-April either miss the playoffs or are eliminated early
