I don't know...didn't that happen a year or 2 before Adam Silver became the commish?

My issue with this is that Morris wasn't suspended. Is $50K enough to deter him from instigating stuff like this? Trying to get a superstar in trouble is the motivation. Morris is the 11th man, so if they both get ejected, Morris wins. If he had done this in the first quarter, Heat would've won this game.

I get your point but he isn't their 11th man. He actually is a pretty important rotation player for Miami. He is more like their 8th/9th guy. I disagree on the suspension for him as well. Without Jokic reaction then that isn't even a flagrant 2. On most nights that is a flagrant 1.

The disrespect

Jeanie too cheap to pay more tax for championships like that team doesn't fucking print money and constantly signing endorsement deals worth millions of dollars. Yeah, the Buss Family has no business outside the Lakers, but you're still fucking loaded. Suck it up.

Agreed...I'm not arguing any of that.
I'm just saying it's on the league to better of overseeing their officiating ranks more closely because a lot of that has been due to so many lopsided +/or non calls during games. The players frustration begins to boil over at some point.

I'm just surprised it doesn't occur more often....and hopefully it won't.
And yes it was initially perpetrated by Morris...and then retaliated by Jokic.
But still pretty weak IMHO as far as punishments goes nonetheless.

Refs failed to feel the flow of that game, and what was obviously brewing under their noses on their watch.

But it is what it is. Hopefully it gets addressed soon or during the off season to ensure those kinds of unnecessary incidents don't occur again. Players will get seriously injured if if does...and then legal litigations will follow.

what would Caruso be? the Lakers 4th or 5th best player? probably 5th considering Melo has been solid thus far?

10-12M a year for your 5th guy is very reasonable.

Definitely probably 4th or 5th. But it isn't the salary that's issue. It's the tax difference. I don't remember the specifics, but the difference was like an extra 20 mil in tax. But still, fuck it. You're the richest franchise by a good margin and championship teams have to eat it if you want to keep winning.

What's worse is if they had some damn foresight, they could have had a better and cheaper team if they would have traded for Lowry last year (they balked at including THT), re-signed him via bird rights and then kept Caruso. That's way better and cheaper than Westbrook with Bradley/Rondo

and honestly- a waaaay better team

LeBron
Davis
Lowry
Caruso
Melo
the min guys they have collected

thats def. a better team than they have right now- at least for the next 2 years. Then Lowry gets even older and THT is gone- but you gotta squeeze everything you can outta Bron before he falls off.

westbrook just looks like a poor move. who knows though. we shall see.

Happened just a few weeks ago here in jersey. Not at Atlantic city though but a different casino. Man followed this guy home and did what he had to do

When I do AC i stay away from the Boardwalk. There is no reason to leave the Borgatta Hotel and Casino. Everything you need is there.

Imo, the problem isn't so much that offensive players try to "trick" the refs to get fouls. That kind of thing has been going on since the game was invented.

The problem is that it starts out with 1 or 2 guys doing it occasionally and it's no big deal. But then it spreads and more guys start doing it, then they start doing it a lot and it gets to where you have guys like Harden that it seems like get most of their points by faking fouls or causing them with non-basketball plays.

End result is that you get unwatchable games and that's not good for the league. It's the same reason the league had to crackdown on flopping. Guys like D. Fish were masters at the flop, but then it leads to guys like Lebron who suck at it and want to do it all the time.

Both Morris Twins play that bully, goon roll and it's ridiculous.

I wish Blake would have done what Jokic did when he played with the Clippers.

Maybe Dudes would have stopped slapping and clothes lining his ass.

It sucks if Morris is actually injured. But, he deserved the retaliation.

Just maybe not from the back, with extreme force.

That was dangerous.
