Basically have to get Johnson to waive his NMC. Can't see that happening.

Gotta think someone in the east would trade something decent for Graves though. Like what reason would Ottawa have for not flipping a second and third round picks for him?

But I would love to see the Devils throw money at Hoffman. Rounds out the top 6, get Hughes's confidence up and flip him at the deadline. He gets paid and still winds up with a contender at the end of the day.

I think Hoffman overplayed his hand looking for a long term deal but still think anybody would be very fortunate to have him in their lineup.

Vatanen and Hamonic are two who really shouldn’t be available still either.

Granlund is the one I want, based on need. I wouldn't mind Duclair, but not at the money he is reportedly wanting.

Would not be upset at all with having Hoffman. That would be icing on the cake.

If nobody offer sheeted Point last year I just can’t imagine someone will ever actually put forth a realistic offer sheet for a star.

Or Sergachev? Or Cernak? Those are three very good NHLers tethered to an utterly capped-out team.

GM's handed this year's Cup to TB far as I'm concerned by not being more aggressive with their assets last summer and they're doing the same thing now.

People wanted to offer sheet Point last year. He didn't want to sign the offers. Knew he had it good in Tampa I suppose.
