It would have had to be a former life, because they haven't won in THIS lifetime.

so wings GM Steve Y was unhappy that his Wings dropped down to the 4th draft position.
I honestly like how the NHL did this years draft. their rating were really good.

This confuses me to no end. Happily hand over 8/72 to Skinner but refuse to commit to Reinhart despite being the team's second leading scorer each of the last two years and third leading scorer each of the three years before that. He also hasn't missed a single game in three years.

Obviously Skinner was UFA vs. Reinhart's RFA and it was a different GM, but unless Reinhart is asking for something outrageous (like Skinner's deal) I don't understand how they can't come up with multi-year deal here.

Possible that Reinhart didn’t want to commit long term there two years out from UFA without getting massively overpaid. Given their constant lack of success I think that’s understandable.

Arbitration, and you get a 2 way league minimum?
That must have been a brutal hearing

/if if went to hearing. If settled before, they must have laid out a very strong case to young Josh

Reports have surfaced? Mitch Miller was well known to be human garbage at least a year before the draft.
Oh I know. That is what makes this even worse. I love the excuses they are taking on why they drafted him.
Can't wait for the Coyotes coming out and stating "We have a black employee in the mail room" so we don't condone this.

Using cap space on a very good player isn't a bad thing.

When it makes GM of the Year Lou Lamoriello look dumb it's even better.
Would love to have Toews for 4.1 million per season.
Instead I get to watch the likes of:

Matheson at 4.8 per
Dumoulin at 4.1 per
and Pettersson at 4.025 per
