Wonder if Simmions drops. He very well could. Simmon would not be as impactful this year with a shorten offseason . Can't really learn mutiple positions quickly. He's best in space so a big safety would be my guess.

Broncos expected to sign 7-9 UDFAs after the draft

This little article says the broncos and most teams will sign 7 or so UDFA. The article suggests this is due to the lost time in scouting activity.

If this is true - and it seems reasonable to me - I would maximize the number of draft picks - to create camp competition and roster depth. This favors trading back and accumulating picks among the players already filmed and scouted.

Strategically - it wouldn't make sense to trade a bunch of picks for a few top draft picks - and come to camp with say 4 picks and 7 UDFAs.

This could change who falls. The big question is who does Miami want to trade that much capital? My guess is their choice between Tua and Herbert, but then at 5 do they take an OT? Would the Giants stay with OT or go CB? If this trade goes through, it will be interesting how thing shake out.
