Great piece of news for the Huskies 2019 class could be coming this friday evening.

4-star DT Jacob Bandes (Antioch, CA) will be announcing his commitment. Many recruiting analysts and sites have been updating their projections to Washington today.

Would be another stellar get for our Dline. Currently ranked at 24/7 as the 88th rated player in the nation and 6th amongst DTs.

We'll know around 6pm on friday. Looking forward to the WOOF. :hope:

Washington needs to start beating out Oregon on some of these recruits. This guy would be a nice catch for the Huskies.
I'm sure we have a few guys in the weeds the staff feels good about.

Petersen is kind of big on wanting the kids to take their time and go through the process and be entirely committed to their decision when they make it. There are always kids that know immediately and others that they encourage to wait and explore as many options as they need.

They will fill their class out and whatever rank level the recruiting pundits give them, he will get another solid group of his kind of devoted players.

Of course it would be nice if the annual exodus of duck commits started a bit early this year.

Bandes would be a huge addition. Really hope he's a UW commit. He has talked to uwdawgpound.com twice in my count.

He's one of the few guys I've been following closely. Hope we land him.

Washington needs to start beating out Oregon on some of these recruits. This guy would be a nice catch for the Huskies.

Oregon has lower academic standards, great facilities (paid for by Knight), and most importantly the Phil Knight connection.

Always nice knowing you can commit to Oregon and know you will have a nice job at Nike if you don't make it as a pro.

Bandes has been a heavy lean to Washington. Most recruit analysts had us as the likely target for him for months now. Duck honks have been mouthing off that they were going to seal the deal with him lately due to all their Califlock vocal diarrhea, but most of them have been admitting today that Bandes will most likely commit to Washington on Friday.

It sounds like he's reached a point that he sees it pointless to keep it open anymore. He's ready to commit.
And it's a very great get because I'm not sure if the Huskies planed to take 2 DTs for this class like they did last year. Sama Paama is either going to be a DT or OG, but just like Taimani, the final decision on that could be next year or during freshman year. Taimani looks locked in at DT as expected, but we'll see.

I'm sure if Tuitele or Ika wanted to commit to us, we would gladly accept. But both are starting to look like big long shots, especially Tuitele who will probably end up at Bama....

But as it stands right now, if Bandes commits to us and that's it for DT for the class, were absolutely loaded at interior Dline for the future. There is some nice DE talent on the west coast as well too, so that will be coming as well to finish off this class. Hats off to Coach Malloe. He's recruiting like a beast.

And in the HOLY SHIT category. Did you see those pics of Taimani and Letuligasenoa from Saturday. Those two standing next to each other, it was like a wall was up. But what made it even more sick is that M.J. Ale, all 6-6 and 360 pounds.....as a freshman, rolls up between them for a pic, and he absolutely towers over them both and looks like he's blocking out the sun. Everyone was in awe of the size of that kid as a freshman. Dear god, these are some monsters we got on the lines these days.

Haven't seen any official announcement from any credible links, so I'll just post his twitter:

247 has him ranked as the #28 player in the nation and the #3 DT.

Huge signing for UW.
