Beal should be an all star ahead of Bam. Who cares about position? Bam is going to throw down one wide open dunk and heat Fans will go nuts for about 10 seconds and that’s it. That’s the whole Bam all star experience.

3 guys from that 2017 made the AS team tonight and I believe those guys are the only guys to make it to the AS team from that class so far.

Tatum, Mitchell, and Bam.

Mitchell and Bam went B2B at 13 and 14.

Knowing how to draft/having good scouts is more valuable than wasting picks in the top 5 or 10 due to poor scouts

There are also guys in that top 10 that are still coming, guys like Fox, Issac, Markkanen, even Fultz. Tatum had the advantage of being a top 5 pick that went to a playoff team. Many have dealt with early injuries (Fox, Fultz, Ball, etc) and/or being blocked at their position (Issac). Someone needs to rescue Bamba from the Magic, btw.

There is no reason Beal shouldn't have made to the All Star team...shit team or not. Plenty of AS's made it while playing on shit teams.

I agree its not easy, as in ‘easy’, but many NBA players can score if given opportunity and allowed to shoot.

Obviously teams guard him, but in blow outs, defenses slack up.

Its just not him benefiting, to be clear.
He’s a very good player.

How many of ‘those guys’ play 36 mpg?
Again, Im not arguing that Beal is a very good player. It goes back to the argument of meaningless stats, which often isn’t fair, but has always been a deciding factor in all star games.

Totally agree with the premise, but the league is business first and the advertisers ratings will be a ton higher with Zion playing.
