The Lakers just finished a road trip and beat everyone on the road and none of them were easy teams. I think was was impressive and huge

confidence in his team and because not real money? For fun?

You can be confident in your team and know they're likely going to lose a road game against a team that's clearly than they are.

I don't bet when I have a good idea what the result is going to be. Real money or not

They beat the Mavs, Spurs and Bulls.

The Mavs and Spurs are solid, but aren't teams that the Lakers shouldn't be expected to beat. Not much is expected of the Bulls.

It's always nice to go unbeaten on a road trip. But they also weren't exactly playing teams that expected to be contenders either.

The brick that rolled in and out? Guys miss uncontested shots, too......did you miss where Theis missed an uncontested layup in the same time frame? Shit happens. Love also had a key block during their comeback but that would ruin the narrative.

Just me, but he isn't the one who would feel my wrath if I was upset about the loss....but, yeah, would have been nice to have hit the 3.

Did you watch the game? lol He didn't hit rim. I was talking about 4 key plays when the Cavs needed a play, it went to disaster. I never said he gets blame for the loss LOL

Couldn't agree more.

This shit is now out of hand.

Load management in late October/early November? Also he is missing national tv games.

Doris is totally right

Burke: Kawhi not playing is ridiculous at this point - ESPN Video

The sad part is...he is only 28. Kawhi going with this little plan is disappointing too...man up and playing 70-80 games like most guys will. I could see if your season is over and it is nearly the end of the year. But you are on a playoff team not even 10 games into the season. Pathetic.

I'm ok with anything after a few months. So any load management in January or after, I can live with

Probably should also minimize a title some when each time it was done with arguably the best player in the game. Maybe the best 2 at times.
Right. Everyone says it's a superstar league and you always need at least one to win a title. Brown didn't.

Worst part?

It's going to be twice as bad when George returns.

This is ridiculous.

And West isn't the East. Playing around with this can lead to them being a 4th/5th seed. Do you really want to try and make/win the finals without having HCA in possibly 3 rounds?

Will be interesting to keep track of their record in the games he miss. Have to think they lose to the Bucks tonight which will drop them to 0-2.

Of course he's going along with it, free money.

The biggest problem is...

IT WORKED IN TORONTO.

Did you ever think you'd see Westbrook sit for load management 10 games in?

I want Kawhi healthy when the playoffs start. But, this is fucking ridiculous.

I think they need to finish 4th or higher.

But, it's pretty obvious that they are less concerned about the regular Season.

That could come back to bite them in the ass.

Right now, without George, the Clippers can beat anyone out West, including the Lakers.

But, will that still be true come April?

I get what the Clippers are doing.

I question the frequency and how early they are starting it.

It would be one thing if they staggered George and Kawhi.

But, it won't surprise me to see them both sit the same game and that sucks.

Clippers have to be careful.

Right now they are a novelty that's mostly ignored.

Won't take much to stray into being despised.

Team is that good but a good idea they cannot pull it out? If you had, say, $80,330 in fake money would that change your life?

He may never win MVP because of it

Saw the game. And, yes, was going by memory as I clearly didn't have the angst you did over the shot. Can't speak for Love, but I'd rather have an open shot from 15 feet than 4 from the side. Not like he missed an open layup like Theis did.

Didn't blame him for the loss, but did call him out for his play when he was the least of their troubles for the game. All I'm saying.

Lakers are title contenders. Heat are not. I can think the Heat are good and not think they're on or close to the same level as teams like the Lakers, Clippers, and etc.

Once again, I don't care about this vcash. Go find out the last time I did anything with it.

I just don't give a fuck about making a stupid bet.

I'm not going to straight up bet when one team is much better than the other.

Once again, I'm not some idiot

You just love starting shit

Like why would I straight up bet anyone for a team that is going to be double digit underdogs more than likely

I can live with that too but right now this is ridiculous.

I don't know, I'm really on the fence with this.

The earliest "load management" that I remember was the Showtime Lakers. Once their playoff seeding was secured, Riley would start limiting starters playing time. I don't remember if he just sat guys out. But I do remember that you often wouldn't see the starters much after halftime, if at all (especially Magic and Kareem).

On the other hand, if I'm a fan who has paid a lot of money to see Kawhi go up against Giannis and then find out that one or both of them isn't going to be playing, I'd be pissed.

I don't really care how early the load management starts and I haven't seen anything that suggests that one way of load management is any better than the other. But I think there needs to be a way to give enough advance notice so that fans aren't spending a bunch of money to see players that end up not playing and for national tv to switch games if they want.

The way Riley did it with the Lakers, you at least knew that once they secured their playoff spot, there was chance that you weren't going to see some of the starters or that you might only see them for the first half.

The way it's done now, it's usually too late.
