I think it would be really cool if Howard could get another blue chip prospect.

Of course, there is a pretty solid chance Maker is a pro before he even has the opportunity to wear a Howard uniform.

I heard he was the 16th ranked player coming outta HS. If he was NBA ready wouldn't a team have offered him a g-league contract? He might need a year before he makes that jump. And I think the vast majority of the kids ranked ahead of him aren't really NBA ready either. Great potential though.

Will be interesting if Maker starts a movement with HBCU schools

From what I read, that's what he wants to do.

Imagine if he could get another top talent or 2 to go with him to Howard.

Would be so cool to see a school like that make a deep tournament run.

I am enjoying watching TBT this year.

It is pretty good basketball.

That's not why the NBA is bothering though
I actually kind of think it is. If those teams didn't care it probably does not get done. In fact, would not be surprised if the plug is pulled if too many pull out which might also happen.

Overseas Elite, which is already made up of pros that play overseas so they win the TBT damn near every year, has Joe Johnson playing for them this year.

WTF

How is that even remotely fair?
Didn't they lose last year to a team made up mostly (or all ) of former OSU players?

Probably both. I'm sure the players would rather not sit for what would end up being about 7 months (assuming next season starts on time)...

and I'm sure the NBA doesn't have a problem with generating more money if it can be done safely.

all gonna come down to, I think, which players will adhere to the guidelines OFF the field.

What are those guidelines? How do you prevent guys who play in Zona, Florida, and Texas from catching the virus? Arent they going back home to their families after each game at home?

I'd expect that they'll have to basically stick together as a group from the hotel to the field and back on the road. Also stay at their hotels and away from the public.

As far as home games, they'll likely have to follow the same protocols as folks who have continued to work during this.

I'd think that someone working in a grocery store for 8 hours a day, 5 days a week, has a better chance at catching it than a professional athlete who isn't interacting with the general public.

Yeah hopefully those they live with take the necessary precautions as well to avoid any major spread for the players and their teammates
