Yeah we'll just disagree on this. It hypocritical some have to go while others can stay. Odd you think the Braves and Blackhawks logos are okay.

They should all be replaced. And I don't want anyone to think I have an issue with the Indians finally getting rid of Chief Wahoo. I don't. The Redksins and I think Blacwkhawks logo (not a hockey fan, not sure what SportsHoopla has if that's your hockey team) maybe? Could SportsHoopla change the current Indians logo I have list as my favorite teams? @trojanfan12. Could something like that be done?

I don't necessarily disagree, but I do see a difference between the disrespectful Indians one and the others

The Indians logo was a racist caricature. These are simpler and more dignified. Maybe not the Braves one.

If we take it from the definition of racism I would not call the Tribe logo racist.

Per Merriam's, the Definition of racism. 1 : a belief that race is the primary determinant of human traits and capacities and that racial differences produce an inherent superiority of a particular race. 2 a : a doctrine or political program based on the assumption of racism and designed to execute its principles. b : a political or social system founded on racism.

Offensive to some? sure, as we get to decide what offends us (or what does not).

Rockets, Raptors, Celtics, and Sixers look very attractive at those odds. Those odds imply that the Sixers only have a 3.45% chance of winning the title, but it is probably a lot higher than that.

Clips at +333 is just not fun enough. None of the top 3 look like a fun bet.

People are removing statues of civil war heroes and team owners who were racist in an era when racism was generally accepted. It is time to address this issue also. Hypocritical not to, IMO.

Sixers barely lost to the eventual NBA champion last year and there's no home court advantage to speak of. I think that teams will be on a more even footing than normal. They're not favorites, but they should be viewed with better than 3% chance.

Maybe it's more like 80% that the champion will be Bucks, Lakers, or Clippers. Bucks have 3 worthy challengers in the East. They could be facing a team like the Sixers in the second round and then it could be Raptors or Celtics in the ECF. Lakers and Clippers can't both make the Finals of course, and with this season being as weird as it is, I think the Rockets are a pretty strong dark horse.

In terms of odds, I think it is well above 90% that 1 of the LA teams comes out of the West. Either can get upset for sure. Just don’t think it likely that both do. Obviously COVID can flip any series, so there is that.

It could also be the opposite. I think that a more veteran team would be less likely to be fazed by not having fans in the stands.

Well that's stupid. Google it. There are many many Native Americans who have been very vocal about it.

You may be saying you don't KNOW personally anyone who is offended by it, but that's another thing entirely.

To be fair, not all are offended by it, but enough to make it not worth keeping around..especially in today's society.

Used to play bball in Phoenix all the time and a number of Native Americans played. Many wore hats with Chief Wahoo on them. I remember asking one once if he knew many picketed Indians games because of the logo. His response? Why?

Name of the park, I believe, was Indian School Park ironically. Is it still there @Mecca ?
