Oh, I haven't really looked at the format. When I heard 22, I assumed 1-11 in each conference.

All teams within 5 games of a playoff spot. Seems unnecessarily extra with 8 games to play. Probably have to win out to make up 5 in 8 and hope for help, and without fans or any real home court advantage.

More likely without the bottom dwellers though. Memphis has a bad stretch they could go 1-7. You never know.

Yeah, I still haven't really looked closely at it. I heard something as well that if the #9 team is within a certain number of games of the #8 team (forget how many), they will have a playoff where they would play each other. The #9 teams would have to beat the #8 team twice to advance.
